Funny putting a light on a cordless sander but on so many other corded tools which could actually use lights more effectively they still don't offer any. I think only one light on the entire router lineup is offered, for example. None on the tracksaws and none for the Dominos either which are not easy under poor lighting conditions. Anyhow, I just wish over the years the upgrades and improvements would be universally shared across their tools and not piece meal etc. Half of these solutions wouldn't even require an entirely new generation tool either but like the 1010 router light they can simply be add-ons.

I love the that Festool is making an Air scrubber. My concern is the filter replacement cost will be insane. I guess we will find out soon.
@FestoolINT5 ай бұрын
Hello Tim, The SYS-AIR has two filters: a preliminary filter and a main filter. The preliminary filter filters the majority of the dust and thus protects the main filter. This allows the SYS-AIR to be operated more cost-effectively. The preliminary filters are offered in packs of 5 and the recommended retail price is € 77 (approx. € 15 for one preliminary filter). The prices do not include taxes and may vary depending on the country and dealer. How often a filter needs to be changed depends on the operating time of the SYS-AIR and how polluted the air to be cleaned is. We hope that we have been able to clear things up a little here. Have a nice weekend! Best regards Your Festool Social Media Team

If Festool could provide a AC-DC battery dummy for my CTLC SYS I would be greatful as for now the runtime with the maximum 2x 4Ah is very limited and almost useless. The same battery dummy could also be used for the CSC SYS 50 for stationary work
@FestoolINT5 ай бұрын
We are happy to pass on the suggestion to our developers. In principle, however, such a dummy battery is not easy to implement. Depending on the power consumption of the machine (which is quite high for dust extractors or table saws), the voltage converter will be very large and heavy.

I've been looking at air cleaners. The SYS-AIR is a good addition. I have a pair of DeWalt DCL050 work lights. I put one at each end of my MFTs. It's lit like a surgery. The SYSLITE KAL C is attractive but I would need to figure a way to elevate it. There's no room for a tripod. In the US I'm also having to pay to have new tools now offered only in imperial here to be converted back to metric. My greatest concern is that they could be damaged with the extra shipping involved.

I just bought a ts55 feq and they included the metric sticker that goes on the saw in the manual.

I would LOVE to see some hybrid options... like an 18v battery that has a cord, so you have the option of running a tool on battery or plugging it in. I know they have a hybrid sander, but to make this an option for the majority of the 18v tools would be amazing!!

I like your products & i’m willing to pay more for quality but I still think they are overpriced. I still buy but it gives me pause. an added inducement that would make the purchases more palatable would an ac (mains for the rest of you) option on most of your cordless tools. It’s why I bought one of your cordless sanders. If you offered an ac option for your sys 50 table saw, your ctc dust extractors, your kapex (like dewalt does) i’d buy tomorrow.

Nice video but yeah, I'm from UK and live in Europe and this 625mm centers thing is the biggest ballache ever, sorry to be frank but it's so stupid. It would be better at 600mm centers and so boards coming at 2400×1200 instead of 2500×1250! 1. It's easier and faster to layout with less mistakes because the math is easier 1200 divided by 2 600. Simple! 2. It would mean that studs aligned with plasterboard sizes which is extremely useful on certain builds. As plasterboard is 1200×2400 3. It also means you can use 400mm centers for specific applications. Get with it Europe! I used to think there Germans were next level builders but the more I learn the less I like their techniques and everything is just focused on CNC machines... Tho only thing you got right is the sustainable materials side of things
