Hello Johnny Boy. I for the life of me can't remember who you are. But I'm sure if I saw your face I would know. Can you remind me how we met pls.

@@barakameek KGS good sir, I am Johnboy. You first met me and Jacksuji playing go there. After that you taught me go often online for quite a while. You sent us a video for go lessons on KZbin you had started but made a mistake and sent wrong link. "Say no to drugs children" lol

Thanks for that. I've done postman's a few times, without incident, but it is nice to be able to review it, so I can tackle it more regularly with confidence. Extra kudos for the sidewinder double. I've always chickened out of it, never sure what speed I need, and the landing looks steeper and unforgiving from the top of the launch. Tonight I might have to have a go at both. Cheers

10+ years ago most mtbers were full faces. Now the half helmet is in fashion and in my local trail which is quite popular, I've not seen a single full face yet. Goes to show that most people are that pathetic as to stay the same as everyone else. The half helms look dumb anyway when the full face doesn't. In what world is it intelligent to wear a helmet that covers only the top part of the head when going 40+ mph...Weird...

Just crashed my enduro bike. It's cold in Georgia right now and freezing along with rain everyday. It's washing the dirt off the downhill course so more big exposed tree roots are sticking up by the day. I was doing 30 mph coming off a berm into a steep jump. Hit frozen tree root lost back tire going sideways up into the jump. Tried to bail but left femur got hung n the handlebar. I went 60ft in the air landing on the top of my visor. Heard my neck pop then went unconscious. Woke up 5 minutes later with urge to vomit. I'm a paramedic so I can tell you that's not a good sign. Turns out I hit so hard I bent the handlebars with my trapped leg with a 4 inch laceration under my motocross pants. My full face left a 3 inch deep hole in the trail where my head landed. I have a hare line fracture in my left fumes, laceration on top, fractured right Tibial , a bruised kidney peeing blood and a mild concussion BUT without the full face it would have been worse because my bell helmet absorbed most of the impact without cracking!!!im off the bike for a couple of weeks at least and I still went to work the next day. My chest protector which is a Built only cost 60.00 and absorbed most the impact so no neck or back pain!!! Wear you're gear guys. I don't care if it's cold or hot!!!wear it because that days coming when something just happens. I'm racing the Pro GRT at Windrock in March so I have to heal fast. Wear you're body armor!!!!!

Yes the last wreck was 2 days ago actually. I’m a Firemedic and went work yesterday. Everybody called 911 and we ran all night all while trying to hide I’m injured. The department threatened my job last year when I broke a clavicle. They don’t like what I do on my days off. They got pretty mad when I said I’ll do what I want on my days off. That’s another reason I pad up so much and downhill is a dangerous sport.

@@garydobbs5159 ironic that people that are willing to push themselves to save their jobs are the ones that lose said jobs. we need more people with drive that are willing to go the extra mile not less.

Sitting here watching as many mtb videos as possible. Ribs are on the mend, thumb is in plaster. Thank god for the fox-proframe helmet that saved my face and the knee pads. It could have been worse like the guy that snapped his arm the following day. Thanks though :)

It ended up I followed you for 6km with a broken thumb and 2 fractured ribs. I don't bounce like the young guys. What amazes me is how videos never show how steep this track really is.

Looks like a great track. 9:05 Nice little stack, looks like it was the landing that caused it, I think after you touched ground you just caught a line which took you up the side of the track on the right, and then your weight transferred to the left and that's when you lost balance. Looks like you had pretty good control of the fall though. I imagine your new bike is a bit lighter than the old glory so it's probably going to respond differently to those jumps, probably a bit less traction on landing. I think a bit of weight in the bike is actually good for down hill tracks.
