Another small block under the hood instead of the original straight eight. The J. C. Whitney add-ons could be tolerated or removed, but that damned engine/trans combo is a deal-breaker.

The 400/4 speed combination like this (I have one too) is 1 of 1,817 made with the 400 Pontiac engine (which required the 4 speed transmission. There was a total of 7500 10th Anniversary cars made). This one is nice but far from perfect. The key buzzer doesn't work and the foam appears to be missing from the fuel inlet line to the carburetor. It's tough to tell, but the seats and door panels look like the PUI replacements, not the originals. If it's the first (or one of the first) Y89 cars off the line, it probably has a January or early February build date.
