Balti paste is the masala used for Balti dishes, which is a very popular curry in the UK restaurants. The dish is originated from Baltistan which located in the Northwest frontier of Pakistan. The mixed curry power is normally we make it at the Indian restaurants, this is the standard curry power which we add to most curries with other spices for individual dishes which brings out an extra taste. NOW you can purchase this power from any Asian supermarkets ASK FOR " MADRAS CURRY POWDER (mild)" There again if you wish to make your self then combine the following spices with the following proportion like I make and then use the required amount to any dish or 2 tsps on my madras dish: 2 tsp ground coriander 2 tsp ground cumin 2 tsp ground fennel 1 tsp ground turmeric 1 tsp paprika power 1/2 tsp Chilli powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp mustard power 1/2 tsp garam masala. Hi GD the missing spice for Kursi Lamb is Dry papaya powder which is powder of pawpaw fruit a tenderiser, you can get that it from any Asian supermarket. If you can't get it substitute with any meat tenderiser. Thanking you Kind regards
