Heck man, I ran into the house and grabbed several quilts out of the closet and in a panic I ran out side and threw them over my truck...it worked, no damage.

Are the drums supposed to be offset?

Honestly, I'm not sure what you mean by "offset". They were marching from the band room to the football field, drums keeping time. This wasn't a performance or anything, the band was just getting pumped to support our football team in the semifinals match. Honestly, this was just the band having fun, and me feeling totally humbled and honored to march with them for the last time in 2023. Edit: so I asked my kid (who's in the band) what she thought about the drums being offset. She said that, yes the percussion section is intentionally set up that way due to the size of the instruments. Secondly, they are specifically placed so each drum complements the others rather than interfering or drowning them out.

The element on top is for broiling, the bake element should be on the bottom, covered for ease of cleaning. this is better, since the exposed elements of yesteryear would get full of backed on food and it would seriously shorten its life span, sooooo you DO have a bottom element for baking, you just can't see it. Happy Cooking! Our last GE lasted at least 59 yrs, of course I got it when I was 22.

FWIW...have made a few things on the range now. Nothing complicated, just some rice and baked some fish in the oven. I'm very pleased with my purchase so far.

Cool, a different perspective of San Diego. That light at the end of the video that kept flashing was the Del Coronado...I'm pretty sure it is, anyway. I wonder what it's like compared to the Carnival Pride, since it's an exact copy of the Spirit except for the artwork, and theme.

I didn't have any real problems with the Spirit itself. I found the staff friendly, the ship clean, and the food tasty for the most part (had a really disappointing fillet mignon one night). Carnival screwed us on our itinerary. They reversed our ports of call, which screwed up our shore excursions. Had to get up at O'Dark-thirty every morning to make the excursions. Not the way we planned it, and not the way I want to spend my vacation. Our next cruise will likely not be with Carnival.

How did you like Carnival Spirit? My soon to be husband and I want to go to Alaska for our Honeymoon but everyone says Carnival Spirit isn't any good. What did you think? How was the food?
