This was me back then and my mom would even tell me over and over how to care for my hair and that it was wavy but I kept thinking it was straight and now I love keeping my hair looking natural and only do my hair on special occasions or when I feel like looking pretty haha

You need a bigger bonnet and Maybe research ones that are breathable, if bonnets aren’t for you opt for a silk pillowcase! It provides the same benefits

I feel this. My mom has ringlet curls but in Indian culture it looks better straight. She never wears her naturally curly hair and I have been trying to embrace my curls as well. Sometimes i straighten my hair but I don’t hate the fact that I have curly hair. My mom says that she has to FIX her hair when she straightens it like theirs something wrong with her natural hair type 😢

Heyy do you brush your hair after shower??
@sabihaanur19 күн бұрын
@@The.Aspirant yes, it helps to reduce frizz and get better definition but I make sure to condition it really good using leave-in conditioner or detangler , so that, it doesn’t pull out too much hair as our hair it the most fragile when wet.

As a natural curly haired Irish woman I sleep very comfortably with my hair wrapped. When it’s not wrapped the wild feral creature that is my hair gets all over my face, neck, back, armpit, chest, boyfriends face, ect…super uncomfortable for everyone. But with this the creature is kept in the cage and the next day it looks better than before!!! Also I never get split ends now.

Guys.. hair growth is not just about what you do on the outside. It’s also about what you do on the inside. Good sleep, less stress, calmness and a good nutritious diet also play a big role in hair growth

Who said that curly hair are nor beautiful..never heard that in my life. I have slightly wavy hair but i also love Curly hair. It gives a different vibe and aesthetics to a person. My cousin has curly hair and I can't imagine her in straight hair. It would made her look like majority of the people just boring straight hair. Her curly hairs give her personality.

I went thru the same. My dad hair shame me. That I was lazy. My dad qas always comparing me with other girs with straight hair. So I grew up hating my hair So when I had my own money I went to a salon for a hair straightening. I did it 2 times a year and kept doing it for like 3 years straight so I loved how it looked. However there was a lot of chemicals going through my head that are actually dangerous and plus my hair now is worse than when I was younger. Dry with a lot of frizzy So even though I loved my straight hair. I am just now accepting that my genes are curly. It is like that This year I took the decision of get a treat to restore my hair and have it healthy. I’m learning how to fix my hair so I do not look like “lazy” is costing me a lot of energy. But I want my natural hair back

I've been bullied my whole childhood for curly hair, everyone used to say my hair is ugly or I have a bird's nest on my head . My mom also hurt a lot combing my hair . So i was crazy after having normal(straight) hair! Horrible experience.
