So how does the verification actually happen? What data is it pulling to ensure it's a real person? What are we even verifying for? Can you show an example of what would cause the verification to fail?

Love this! Emily Kramer is a marketing genius and I've always liked how she breaks down foundational elements in marketing and beyond.

the new forum option of discord community seems to mimic the threading of Slack. Just trying it out on my discord server, and it seems pretty slick.

I'm literally laughing at KZbin for not pushing an amazing content. Other videos have 40 views. I'm pretty convinced that YT algorithm is screwed up

Thanks for this. It would actually be nice to see what happens on the backend in Common Room once someone uses the Discord member verification! Also, is most of the messaging blasts + automation still only possible with Slack? Or is that now available for Discord too?

When you did the amenity bit, was an instant laughter for me, as it was an issue for me during a college presentation I did with a group I was randomly matched up with forthe semester. The inside joke, is my hetero-secure outgoing self was put with possibly 4 of the hottest girls at the University(sidenote, I was quickly a popular dude as many other dudes thought they were my harem, needless to say, We had a lot of fun that year and still keep in touch. I kept it clean for comments, respectfully. But college is an experience that if not FUN, you are failing. Unless your the smartypants Doctor/Science/PHD career than it needs to be more aware of grades. I did what I HAD to, in order to pass, but the experiences i had were lifelong lessons😉😉👌👌😎😎😎😎 One of the few times LUCK was on my side with that random matching group, hahaha

the best explanation of all. I've always asked the differences between these two and they all end up with the simple answer discord is for gaming and slack is for work

To me the current Slack offering makes zero sense for an external community, the main points being the amnesia (max 90 days search) and the very steep pricing. Also: the Slack CEO himself mentioned that the Slack product is (at least currently) being built/aimed at internal company communication, so you can't expect them to build any features for you if you do run an external community. Discord on the other hand keeps adding features that cater to large external communities. And they do so at a price point that will really make me question your sanity if you'd pick Slack over Discord for an external community in 2023...

What does it mean to track performance once members are enrolled? Enrolled in the Slack community? Or enrolled in the workflow?
@CommonRoomHQ
@CommonRoomHQ 2 жыл бұрын
Hey DeMario! Great question :) To clarify, it's once a member is enrolled in the specific workflow, which they'll be enrolled in when they meet the criteria the community owner set for that workflow.
