TLDR: my sister fucked my husband, my parents sided with her, and years later when my ex left her for another woman and took all their money, sis and parents come crawling back looking for my help. And I was dumb enough to give it to them because FAAAAAAAAMILY! Big dummy. She deserves to have the sis and parents screw her over again.

Imagine being so petty that you are willing to ruin your relationship with your family just because you "didn't get the wedding venue you wanted". 🤨 IT IS A WEDDING VENUE IN NJ for gods sakes. (Yes I've been there before for a wedding and while it is pretty there are better ones in NJ). I would have personally done Park Chateau Estate & Gardens or Birchwood Manor since Both look better than Riverview Manor imo. But no, you jsut have to ruin your sister's wedding day because of a wedding venue?? Guess you clearly do care about the blantent favoritism you never got if you're willing to go this far. It isn't the end of the world, and if you really care, choose a date before her sonce you want to be so spiteful. I do think you are the AH. You don't even have proof that she knew about it since you two barely have a relationship. So when you end up with no family left because you decided to do this to yourself, don't cry and go onto reddit because you actually think you are in the right. You so damn lucky that this is straight up BS because no one would actually be on your side even if she was a bad sister to you🙄. Quite. The answer to "can you ever forgive me?" Is clearly no. Some things are too egregious to forgive, even accepting that forgiveness is more for the one betrayed. It was quite clear that Jack was cheating with someone from the very beginning as there were more red flags than the Beijing Olympics. If the OP forgives her husband and friend she deserves to be cheated on, and I noticed that the OP was not critical at all that she knew her friend was cheating on her fiance with Alex.

There's somethings I've noticed as an avid reader of fiction. Details in a person that are only explained if it's fiction. If someone felt a gaze on them, it's most likely fake. A real story would say their eyes met by coincidence, not that they "felt a gaze". Felt a gaze is a phrase you only see in fiction because turns out, people can't really feel other people looking at them. If they do write about this, they sound astonished at the fact they were right in looking back, not meh, I felt a gaze, as if it were natural. This is just an example, there's a few of these key phrasing I see every now and then that que me into a story being fake. For this one, a real story would try to hide some irl details on reddit, and would stay first person prospective at all times, most reddit writers don't want people to have to read too much, they get apologetic when the posts go on too long. This was giving too many side details, and at first it was fine, but as it went on, it started reading like a novel due to all the descriptors. Almost like a first person omniscient viewpoint instead of a real person asking a genuine question.

If you hope to see some sort of redemption for OP in the end, where she gets revenge and the bad people gets what they deserve, don't bother with this story. OP is a doormat from beginning to end and keeps forgiving and helping awful people who deserve neither forgiveness nor help.

In the real world she would not have been allowed to give a speech and if she did managed to give a speech they would have asked her to leave. Also why is the main character telling her story like she is some great leader who had to struggle and fight for their kingdom, "from the depths of betrayal and heartbreak I have risen stronger and more resilient." The situation wasn't that deep, cheating is wrong yes but it's not that deep.

Its not about doing something wrong yourself, its about trusting your own gut feelings that something is clearly wrong and you have a suspicion and you get proof of that. Knowing that your instincts were correct and you were not imagening things just in your head can feel like a weight being lifted of your shoulders. But i would not give to much about this story, direct speech and entering an apartment without a key were the female friend just forgot to close the door seems highly fabricated. So most likely AI generated as so many stories are these days on youtube.

There is no way I'd help these two. Not for any moral grandstanding in the world, could make me help two wastes of space like that. Wouldn't have entertained that first message much less met them both at the cafe. Separately or together. OP is better than me (in meaning she's a doormat despite how "empowered" she believes she is, since she needed "closure" with those horrible people when she could've found that in herself instead).
