Thanks for your comment. We actually buy our fondant and the ones we use are vegan. To make this cake it takes a lot of practice, trial-and-error but if you keep at it I am sure it will turn out great. Good Luck!

The fondant he used for this was Saracino from Italy but you can use other brands as well.

What did you stick into the larger book cake and then the smaller book cake to secure the cakes. Is there a slower tutorial for this cake ???

We use 1/2" round plastic dowels, they are made for cakes, food-grade and work really well. You can buy them on Amazon. Sorry, but we don't have a slower video.

I’d love to make a lavender or floral flavor cake...I’m not old though but I love different, out there “sophisticated” flavors. I’m going to be turning 21 tho, so that seems a bit much. I don’t know what to do tho, as I hate store bought cakes and I don’t like vanilla. Last 3 birthdays I have made: Last 3 year’s of recaps: Matcha ice cream cake with coconut, Lemon with berries and honey, and Funfetti with chocolate “pudding”. It was like pudding but wasn’t. People don’t like my cakes tho and there’s so much leftover...

Thanks for watching and for your comment. We find that cupcakes and cake bake differently and really don't taste the same. When having our clients taste cake flavors we want their taste expereince to be as accurate as possilbe. Since we create several tastings each week it is impossible for us to make every combination in cake form so we bake sheets and cut-out little circles so that our clients are tasting cake similar to how their finshed product will be. We do not measure our cake by weight. We used 12"x18" sheet cakes to carve this cake. It can be made in a smaller size if less servings are required but to make it with a proper scale, sizing needs to be taken into consideration so that you have enough cake to add the wings and such. Amazing! Did you use water to stick the fondant to the cardboard wings? And how is the template attached to the support base? Would be great to watch this in normal speed!

Thank you for your comments! The Cake Artist used diluted piping gel to stick the fondant to the cardboard, very little is needed. The template was used to plan the design but not used when putting together the cake. If you are asking how the plane was attached to the base, it was secured with royal icing. Hello Vinesh. I am not sure what you mean by which brand to use. We do not make Strawberry Cake but we do make Strawberry Buttercream. The best way to do this is to use fresh strawberries or strawberry jam. You mix this into the buttercream to create the flavor using real fruit. I hope this helps. Happy New Year!
