Ww1 has been a rollercoaster, as my impression has changed for reasons outside my control. My old videos lacked the knowledge that I know now, and any ww1 videos that will be made in the future will have a decent amount of information and correct material for the viewer. -Prussian Productions

One thing to bring up is the “broken assault badge” was only done by one captain during the battle and is “suggested” that others might have done it purposefully, but as of right now 0 photographic evidence exists of other soldiers from the unit doing this practice is they all show a unbroken IAB.
@PTFSMSFSBUTTER2 ай бұрын
very cool. I would like to mention: for the smaller great war community, if you're looking for y-straps for ww1, sorry. They don't exist. However it was common to use a breadbag strap around the neck, mounting on the d-rings on the ammo pouches.

@prussianproductions99584 ай бұрын

The broken badge indicates that the person who wore it fought only for his comrades, and not the reich's motives. I love the addition of it to an impression.

Something like that, there’s multiple theories. Maybe it was just a subjective choice?

@@prussianproductions9958 Nonetheless, it did have a reason. If not to deface a German badge, then I'm not sure. Watch: "Common Combat Awards of the German Army 1939-1945." It has information about it in there

There is a certain type of german Y suspenders made out of a blue fabric, not leather that I think are called THW suspenders. But the thing is, the back vertical strap is very short making it placed way above the waist, literally on the back! How did german infantry men actually wore those series straps? Were they allot shorter people then?

I do have to give the Germans credit for coming up with such a nice rig, especially when you realize that they adopted it since WW1. It’s very sturdy, it goes well with the human posture and it just looks fantastic. Too bad they don’t make normal suspenders with a steel ring on the back like that.
