Pretty sure it's completely new. The other games are set in like high school. This is set in a medieval fantasy world. Check out the demo if you haven't yet. It's pretty dang good.

Btw this is not a SMT game I heard u keep mentioning it, like yes of course it gonna have similar names and that cuz it an atlus game and it culmination of there work but it not connected to anything SMT, and hopefully u won't get into it thinking it gonna be a hardcore RPG like SMT, this is gonna for everyone

Hopefully the highest difficulty is still really hard like SMT. It's not going to hurt the inexperienced players, except maybe their egos if they can't beat the game on the hardest difficulty. Anyone who is not up for the challenge can just play it on easy or normal and masochists like me can get to enjoy getting their ass whooped by a boss and coming up with a strategy that lets us defeat the said boss. Persona games should do the same thing. The hardest difficulties in those games are a joke.

You could get back Press Turn in SMTIV but it was a Masakado skill, he was locked behind DLC if i remember correctly. It cost 255 mp and gave you like 3 press turns. It was called Guardians eye? any other occasion of that was enemy only i believe.

In nocturne you can permanently get an extra press turn on NG+ and in DDS 2 there is a ring that does the same thing.

@@LesoTheGamerboy Correct, however those only add to your total press turns. I was referring to the skills that actively manipulate and grant press turns like the Fakers Skills in a manner such as dragon's or beast eye. We have seen skills like that but rarely in the players control.

@@Lonewulf321 Also just found out there is an item called "impel stone" in DDS 2 that gives you 4 blinking turn icons. You can only have one in your inventory at a time and it costs 50k dollars. I know it's still probably not what you were thinking of but I thought that I'd mention it.

Also the reason they changed the balance is because the system they had was really dumb. It was basically just dependent on level diffrence between you and the enemy. Difficulty should be based on tactics/being able to fuse strong and unique demons in a turn based combat RPG. Not just ''Oh this monster is higher level and therefore it will destroy you''

heeeyooo, been a while since I've seen your content. Glad to see you following SMTVV. I'm so glad they are tweaking the level scaling. My least favorite thing about the base game. My two biggest complaints were level scaling and the story felt like it was missing a large chunk in the middle. What are you most looking forward to? For me it is the new demons, the story, and the new difficulty focused on everything being level capped. lol Like you said, I think those abilities that seem to be cracked are balanced around the NG+ mode while the NG mode is just do whatever you fancy without thinking to much about min/maxing.

Not a fan of day one DLC but it would be cool if we got future DLC. I would love a female main character option along with more demons, quests, optional bosses, new places to explore, etc.

tbf smtV sold like a million copies within 3 months on just one console, which is a really good success for Atlus. Sure persona 3 reload did it in a week but thats because persona is much more well know in the west compared to smt.

I agree with you, P3R had some gameplay elements that made the game easier. It’s pretty easy to break newer gen games now On a side note, I’ll laugh if we get a Messiahs in the Diamond Realm 2 thing here 🤣
