The first eXceed is very "meh" in my opinion. The 2nd and 3rd games are MUCH better. Kickass OSTs, characters, and it actually runs well on modern PCs. Chinatsu is pretty cool though. Also btw, if you use the software dgVoodoo2, it should help run the 1st game run smoothly.

the only thing i dont like about shmups of this style is that it seems the only enemy is the massive amounts of bullets, where as other shmups you have to consider your environment and the position of other enemies as well.

Sort of yeah. It couldn't handle two tracks at once, otherwise it would lag. Besides, it fits for the barrier in relation to the character Lydia represents (Sanya Litvyak from Strike Witches).

It was to fit in for Lydia. It's really Sanya's Song backwards. I had to use only one track each because playing two tracks at once would lag the game.

I noticed that. I'll be working on that one time. I'll also makes some bullets that are much brighter so they'd be easier to see. In some case, I purposely the stage this way to add into the challenge in the game.

Bullets should be contrasted to the colours of the background. As of the interface, It looks a little plain.

I am aware on that and I will work on that as I go along. Just first though the purple/black bullets would fit when it came to the Witches and familiars. I has some thought on changing the interface, but not exactly sure what I should change first.

The art is the part that usally reveals a home made game, but the gameplay seems to be working! Don't really know what to think about the hp...I kinda like the one-hit death part in a shmup! MVHH

@hexidextrous I am keeping the fraxy option open, but I will do improvements in my bosses. May make some cool ones, too. I might use fraxy just as a desmonstration of most of my bosses.
