Yep he needs to learn the drop shift -> auto move. With the laggy ass dashboard there is no way to manually shift them and get anywhere near the best performance from it.

@ if it’s anything like a regular HC leave it in drive hold the left paddle and it will automatically drop into proper gear. At that point simply floor it lol. I’m assuming that’s what you mean by “drop shift”.

@@cg8er145 it’s a bit more complicated (at least in mine). When you hold the paddle it drops the gear but also stays in manual mode so it will just hit the limiter instead of shifting. So in my Hellcat it’s 1) slide shifter left into manual mode 2) hold down paddle to force shift and floor it 3) immediately move shifter right to auto mode. 🍻

@ yes you’re correct and I forgot to mention moving the shifter back to the right in “D” so it upshifts normally once floored. Idk if it’s accessible with Mopar but in my 8spd Camaro I can put it in manual mode select desired gear in “M” mode floor it and it automatically upshifts WOT. Makes it super easy/convenient when doing pulls/mexico runs

@ that’s super convenient and as far as I know not an option for mine. The dash is also super laggy even in the DDHC so it’s near impossible to manually shift in the first few gears without it hitting the limiter and bogging. Sounds like your setup is far more ideal for roll races. Shame we couldn’t have an option for that behavior.

Thats what allows it to achieve the 130 trap speed, the top end alone on the engine is horrible which is what dictates the performance of it on roll races. Dont come at me with this nonsense, a fbo e85 hi ram c7 is commonly at the same performance my vehicle is unless hes using my tuner or another solid one. I wouldnt be suprised if that C7 is running 125s at a low 11s, while also walking this z06 on a roll race.

I used to own a 6th gen Camaro 2SS and got rid of it because of the AFM/DFM engine failure issue. Traded that it in for the 2018 Mustang GT premium 10spd that I got national speed to build and make 970rwhp on a 3.0 whipple. Handles better and is faster in every way than the 🗑 Camaro
