How does an Italian helicopter pilot talk to his co-pilot when both his hands are on the flight controls?
@JonesPhotographyC200711 ай бұрын
I've only ever been in a Chinook and seen the inside of an A400 soni really wouldn't know. Are you going to tell me or are you asking the audience?

I understand this comment to be saying; you like the sound of the West Berlin helicopter. Is that right? It's a great sound but not as recognised as the Chinook (maybe just my opinion being British lol)

Yes we do, very difficult to choose between the lynx & Chinook though let alone an Apache ay! Apparently the Osprey is a plane not a helicopter though so that'll go in the plane category ha ha 😏

I sure hope the drivers okay!
@JonesPhotographyC20074 жыл бұрын
Worse than being in a car rolling over I should think, because it's going to take a few seconds longer which gives the driver time to react. Driver reaction would likely be to tense up and I've heard that a driver or passenger tensing up could cause greater injury, apparently relaxed muscles are less likely to cause greater harm physically? No idea and wouldn't want to find out but you would likely know having been in a bump yourself no? Did you see it happening and tense up? Knowing that 'J' wasn't injured because he was looking down or elsewhere and 'M' was looking at 'J' because the car was stopped on the handbrake. I don't know what to make of that particular incident and I certainly hope it's an experience that doesn't happen again to any of you! Hopefully the driver was wearing a seatbelt, falling from the drivers seat with a stearing wheel on your lap would likely cause an injury in itself, let alone hitting the passenger side potentially doing greater physical injury to your head, neck and shoulder!

How did it end up on it’s side?
@JonesPhotographyC20074 жыл бұрын
Could have been caused by a number of things; uneven weight distribution in the trailer, driver took the roundabout too hard (cornering, again due to not knowing what or 'how' the load is distributed inside the trailer), a blow out on a tyre or more than one on the left side of the truck unit or trailer.. a half decent RTA investigation will inevitably find out no doubt but having said that with the load being on it's side that would take some effort tracing it back to the warehouse where it was loaded prior to the truck leaving it's last destination(s)! This is why it's so important that drivers are physically able to see/check their load before hitting the road OR if someone would invent a means of a driver knowing what weight is where in the trailer, u mean there's always weighing bridges in various sites but their not always being used. Which is why I always prefer to check, load and unload myself as I did in previous jobs and even in this job but since the change of route and routine (since the dreaded virus no doubt) even I don't often get to check my load but even if I wasn't entirely satisfied with it, what could I do and would the warehouse be willing to shift it appropriately but then I'm not often driving the artic so.. 😳
