Isn't the motion of 'lifting up' the abs through the ribcage right up to the upper sternum an extension of the thoracic spine? When you're facing the camera, one could swear you were in full upper body extension, but sideways, it seems fine. How is that?

@@YAMUNABODYROLLING I have the total body DVD. I guess I’m just wondering if there’s any specific movements with the balls that you recommend for the turning of the head issue. I just went to a PT session and they measured that my ability to turn my head is less than normal so I want to improve it.

I am 70 with a rectocele . I was learning to pull up, contract, with the exhale; To relax with the inhale. In harmony with the movement of the diaphragm. You are teaching the opposite. Please tell me your thoughts on this. Gratefully Jane

In order to pull up you have to be able to push out. So as you inhale you lift and pull up

I thought we were supposed to pull up on the exhale. Doesn’t our diaphragm go up on exhale?

We're dealing with the vagina not the diaphragm

Was wondering the same because the title of video references the pelvic floor which is a diaphragm. And generally I suggest engaging and pulling up on the exhalation unless with a prenatal client then the opposite. Perhaps you or someone can elaborate.

Thank you I just found your channel. I am experiencing a lot of pelvic floor and constipation issues and the big breathing pattern they have for me is one hand on the chest and one hand on the belly and as you inhale only feel the belly rise and do not let the chest rise. I have found that that has failed for me and after just watching your video and the breath pattern you give, totally changes things. Going to look for other pelvic video if you offer.

I rolled as instructed in this video maybe 2 or 3 times and since then I've been having clicking in both of my shoulder joints throughout the day, with more instances as the days pass. Any idea what could've caused this and how to make it stop? Thank you.

Hi Lili, So sorry, I just saw this. I tend to not look on KZbin very often. Most likely this clicking is because you began to break the round shouldered pattern. What I would do because it sounds like you began to unwind your shoulders but ut was not enough info to make the full change. I would lie completely on your side and place the gold ball in your armpit and just breath and keep stretching out the entire side, arm and armpit. You can move the ball slightly backward and forward in the armpit but stay on your side. Then go back and do the routine that you worked on here. Make sure you always do both sides.
