The beat reminds me of the ambient music of Resident evil 3 nemesis. Great vibe for a song about dying alone as that game makes you feel alone with a destructive force. The song itself has a lovely depressing sound on its own.

I really appreciate the kind words. I've not put out a lot of instrumental versions of the tracks with vocals. But I might start including one on future releases alongside them for anyone interested.

I can definitely see where people are making the Stranger Things connection, but sections of it also give me strong Murder Drones vibes. Regardless of soundalikes though, this song absolutely stands on it's own as a fantastic piece!

Thanks! I'm actually making a conscious effort to write shorter songs. People's attention spans are shorter in these modern times, and shorter songs are supposedly and statistically doing better.

I'm sorry to hear that. I lost a friend to suicide as well. It's surprising how many people have. Unfortunately deaths of despair are on the rise. There is still a world that is worth fighting for though, everything is not lost. But there are deeper structural problems in society that need addressing. Also problems of everyone being more disconnected now that in previous generations. Short answer I guess is "it's complicated". 😅
