This song reminds me of last years summer holiday. Together with my dad I flew the first time in my life to the USA. We stayed for 4 weeks and visited 5 National Parks, I‘ve never seen so much beauty in life before. We even hiked down into the Grand Canyon and spent a night in the tent. I‘ve never seen so many stars in the sky before, cause there was no light pollution. In the evening we also walked out to a view point called ‚Plateau Point‘. You got a great view on the Colorado River and for 1 hour straight there were no other people than us two enjoying the sunset rays into the Canyon at 3,000 ft. below the rim - and then this song came to my mind. I will never forget this day, it completely changed my life, the view on the world we are living in. And I promise to come back once in my lifetime to see this one more time. In July I will be on a concert of VNV Nation, i‘m really looking forward to it.

This reminds me of my late wife, She was my light, with out her the coldness of the house, it is alien, the bed lacks comfort for even it remembers her, 1st year with out her presence, this song is uniquely apt to the feelings one has when reflecting. Such loss is hard for one to grasp unless they have shared it. The pain never goes away, it just becomes slightly more dulled but ever present.
