@@lookingforowls3647 I just watched his Rig run down, he is a great player, with alot of fun toys to mess around with on stage. I love the guitars the uses too. Hmmmmm my top 3 would be Slash, Dimebag Darrell, Randy Rhodes. I even love Larry Ler from Primus' guitar style too. Its not the most talented but damn it's different
@lookingforowls36473 жыл бұрын
@@tolerants231 Right on man. I especially dig Dime and Randy. Hugely influential in their scene and I've loved their work as long as I can remember. Definitely agree on your point about Ler as well--sometimes it's not how "technically" good they are, but more about how they shape the sound of the band they're in. Primus is a perfect example of that. As for me, I fall on the jam/jazz side of things, so I'd go Jerry Garcia, Trey, and George Benson. Honorable mention to Prince, who should never go unnamed in this discussion

Interacting with the crowd is the most important part of a live show. Les nailed it. I took my old lady to a Sugarland show a while back. It was the worst live show I've ever seen. They just played a song, then another, then another and never said much of anything in between. Then THEY TOOK A BREAK MID WAY!!! It's like they didn't even want to be there and was just going though the motions so they could get out quicker.
