Followed the steps you showed however that link for the sealer is awful or I got a bad tube of it.. solid as a rock pretty sure it shouldn't be like trying to break my hand pumping the gun.. broke one gun went to the next gun and literally nothing came out, went out bought different sealant and it seems to have worked.

Finally someone who gets it. Everyone instantly thinks of a jigsaw when cutting out these panels for windows. But the jigsaw is a prick of a saw to use on uneven surfaces. That why the reciprocating saw is so useful when it comes to cutting out holes in vans.!!

Have you ever had any issues with the electric Kent knife ? Scratches ect ? I use a manual one & have an Ezi wire but this looks like a good bit of kit to invest In

i had two guys come out to me and they removed the windscreen and rebonded it for only £200 ,it was not bonded along the top and all down one side causing water to get in and fill the passenger footwell . if the screen had had broken it would have cost an extra £160. the job only took them half an hour the screen did not break and now its leak free and bone dry again .

Should have vacuumed up all the metal shaving in the slot area between outside skin and inside skin. I have to think that finger sander spread nasty metal bits everywhere. Rust will start with the minute fragments and through painted nearby surfaces in a mater of hours to days.

The only part of interest was the installation over the wiper motor - and you gave it a .2 second "just use it as a guide" blurb at the end..... good thing you spent 3 minutes vacuuming up glass as we couldn't have ever figured that out on our own. Hope you enjoyed making the video - at least someone will have gotten something out of it.

What a lovely job!

I had trouble trying to find a glazier to install a window in the LH door if my Renault Trafic. Watched a few vids, but liked yours the best, and your methid made more sense! I ended up getting a used window and proceeded to collect all my bits that I would need. I used SikaFlex 258 as my bond agent. My reciprocating saw didnt perform as well as expected and overheated and shut down several times. So the cutout was abit rough, and needed remedial work with a grinder and flapper pad. Got it reasonable in the end. Then cleaned up all my surfaces, applied the polyurethane, and then the window. Following the way you did it made it look easy, and it relatively was! All in all, maybe 2 hrs? Now, after 2 days, more than happy with the result, and the window looks fantastic!
