This could have been the last time the Brills took the public under trolley wires. Translink is not too keen about the liability issues with the vintage equipment. I do hope something can be worked out in future.

Interesting that they were using on the 116 route. Thought these were only used on the 100 due to the charging station being at Marine Station.

I hate this change not because these 2006 buses aren’t nice but the fact that you have some of the worst bus drivers in terms of customer service on the whole system of driving you around and they’re invading what was supposed to be new W. Hamilton Transit Centre territory

Great video. Late '50s, early '60s, we didn't realize we were riding in an object of art - what eras, what style we lived in without knowing it. Distinctive rounded-corners design, flat front, sloped rear roof line, ; huge, nearly horizontal steering wheel; glass-sided fare box; back-tilted windscreen; gleaming, smooth stainless steel handrails; cushioned seats; footwell lights; accordion doors; cozy '50s incandescent lighting; air brake hiss. There's nothing like that riding the streets any longer - it's just a bus, but it's beautiful, and a great reminder of those times.

Still hard to believe these are already gonna be retired soon 😢 I hope they’re saving things like the bike racks to be used on the newer buses lol

730 is not fully off the road. It has made some appearances in 2024 and will go out a few times more in the summer including the PNE. Unfortunately it’s replacement, 4107 Fishbowl is not ready yet. It will go to select events if the deadhead is mostly highway to not aggravate the mechanical issues.

Wow! We had this same type of GM Old look and the small version in Cuba! They arrived in Cuba in the 1950's and were already in use in USA! Excellent air suspension, they had automatic transition and they were super comfortableI The Windows were the same number and shape with one small window before and after the rear door!!!I remember one in particular with the number 1442 that went from Havana to Guanabo in Cuba!
