Point centred quarter sampling usually looks at the frequency, density, and basal area. How would you calculate the frequency if you are looking at just one tree species?

Hie I am an under graduate student in Malawi, Africa and I would want to assess the species composition of a forest patch on campus which was initially cleared and later re established by replanting.what variable should I look at and what indices will I be required to calculate and the statistical tests required to generalize the results

I would suggest checking the biogeoclimatic zone for the species that are native to the area.

I wonder if you could please do a lecture on different types of plant biomass measuring techniques with their advantages, disadvantages and calibrations. I do not find much literature on the calibration part. Thank you once again.
