Once they start to die, it’s hard to save them or even get cuttings started from it. I’ve killed mine several times but have always had a backup. They’re not heat tolerant and that’s usually how mine have died. About 90°f is absolute maximum. It can handle heat for a couple days but not much more.

They bloom for me every October, grown in my screen room in Florida. I think they like a bit drier as the days get shorter.

The Calathea behind you look amazing! If you haven't done so already, I'd love to see videos about them. I have 2 - a Calathea Stella & Calathea Purple Rose - that I'm hoping to grow into beautiful, full plants such as yours. Thanks.

I took a large fishbowl and placed 5 or 6 different orchids, added aquatic rocks. Placed some crawling moss and such in the rock crevice. I also have the same little glass house and placed 2 orchids with some white elephant rock with a furn behind the rock. ❤❤❤

What if you try a granular treatment for pests that way it will grow into the plant which may stop the horrible mites!

I live in Arizona. It’s very dry. I only water my rex once a week, but I do water from the top. It started dropping leaves the stem and the new growth looks good maybe bottom water?

It’s always good to see someone giving advice when they actually have a big healthy plant. And that one that they just picked up from the nursery. Thank you so much for the tips! I am trying to revive my sick little string of turtles. Wish me luck!

We just bought one today and everyone was telling us how they had one and it died so I was worried. Thanks for this video. We do have a humidifier in the room so hopefully that will help. We have the wrong kind of pit though so we have to change that. Because it was a tropical plant I was going to mist it, but you didn’t mention that at all. So we won’t do that.
