Great little amps. I much prefer the older fixed bias Krells to the later sliding bias models. They sound best plugged straight into the wall, no power strips, no conditioners etc. If you do get it re-conditioned, send it back to Krell. Expensive yes but worth it. Good luck.

I’m the wife of an audiophile. I found this song to be hilarious and so true, especially the part about boxes!!! I can’t stop laughing. Love my hubby’s hobby along with him. Fortunately, he doesn’t have as much sh*#% as the guy in the video. Our living room has been converted into his listening sanctuary, but I still have the dining room table.😂

I bought that exact OL table & tonearm. It sounded great but both the turntable & tonearm were so unreliable. The tonearm rest came loose, the inner cable lost connection somewhere, the speed controller was temperamental, sometimes it worked, sometimes not. The whole motor assembly was replaced, the drive belt had to be constantly cleaned otherwise wow was common. I sold it after 12 months and bought an SME.

That's interesting and good feedback for those watching the vid. I didn't have any issues with the table/arm other than managing to pull the connector off the power supply, which was my fault if I remember. I've never owned an SME but like their designs - maybe one day.

You are lucky. I bought a Krell 200 B class A amp at an estate sale along with some B&W 801 Anniversary edition speakers (which work great). The amp worked for about a week then the protection circuit kicked in a few times and now doesn’t come on at all. No one in my area wants to work on it because Krell won’t supply a schematic. Krell wants $2500 to fix.

It's tough, sorry to hear that. To add to your woes the owner of Krell passed away a while back and the last I read the entire company has closed to take a 'temporary' hiatus. I hope you can get it fixed eventually....though it isn't looking good for you if it's something more than a basic capacitor replacement.

Oh No! Please don't cut my power cord. This hilarious line took me back to 1993, when Lorena Bobit cur off her husband power cord for using it to power other women's clitoris. I've been married for 42 years. The secret to maintaining our Hifi addiction, while married is to spent twice as much on House remodels for every piece of audio gear. Being an audiophile is expensive, remaining married to the sane wife, while being an audiophile is crazy expensive, BUT WELL WORTH IT.

I've got a pair of REL T9/x subs and the lack of markings on the crossover and gain knobs is pretty annoying. Mine does have notches that you can kinda feel but they aren't quite defined enough to be able to count out clicks. Those annoyances aside, the pair added quite a lot of enjoyment to my Klipsch Cornwall IVs.
