Now that Season 4 is out then now this scene where Kasei Meikou was shocked at Ro Fu You's display of power is making sense - that Fu You actually is not quite human and that he almost summoned his demonic powers here just before making an escape. His pipa shouted at him to stop it. Due to the fantastical fight scenes of the series this detail had escaped me prior XD Sho Fu Kang had only previously referred to Fu You's ability, in particular his singing, as supernatural and acknowledged he was born with it and so he did not demean it, but never directly addressed it as demonic power.

First I thought this was made with audio clips from Nakata Joji. Then I thought it was AI generated. Somehow the thought of Nakata Joji voice acting characters other than Kirei was so foreign to me that it never crossed my mind.

Kotomine really is a great villain. Unexpectedly charismatic, considering that he has never experienced any emotions in his entire life. Spoilers ahead, if you have never watched/read at least one ending of Faith, then I do not recommend reading the next one I don't really like villains who want to destroy the world because of twisted logic or resentment. But Kotomine is not like that, he wants to destroy the world in order to... feel emotions. Joy, sadness, regret, grief, anger, it doesn’t matter, the main thing is to feel at least something. After all, even the death of his wife did not make him turn even a drop of tears. Because of this, you don't feel anger or regret towards Kotomine, you feel respect and admiration for him, as an enemy who needs to be destroyed. He has a goal to destroy the world, even if he dies in the process, your goal is to survive and preferably save the life of at least someone. There's no point in trying to convince each other.

Ah, Pili's standard Mist Shield Manipulation. What better way to showcase your main villain than to show him or her that normal techniques and weapons won't work effectively. And his technique is considered low-tier by Pili's top villains standards. Some have ways of penetrating it.

This unironically seems like something he’d do. Both to make money, and also screw with people. I mean considering both the time period this is set in and the fact this country doesn’t seem to have a particularly strong local government (in the first season we had what was essentially a crime syndicate put up wanted posters, and in the second we had a foreign law enforcement official with a detachment of soldiers openly conduct an investigation with seemingly zero oversight) there probably isn’t anything stopping him from using other people’s likeness’s for his products.

This scene proves Shang Bu Huan's point that most of these highly prized Sacred or Magick Swords are highly overrated. Shang is probably capable of shattering the Sword of Roaring Cosmos as well, with his Mastery of Ki Manipulation. Same case with the 2 other swords that were showcased during this season. As Xiao Kuang Juan said, the Night of Mourning is mostly redundant if you already have a bunch of lackeys that do your bidding. Otherwise, it's just a sword. As for the Seven Blasphemous Deaths, it's the Demon inside it that is the threat. Without it, the SBD is just a fancy-looking sword. Inherently, wielding the SBD doesn't actually grant you any more power than what you have. As showcased here. It isn't the SBD which defeats the Sword of Roaring Cosmos, its Lou Zhen Jie.
