I was wondering why you didn't just make the gravy with the onions in the pot when you started then put the bones in there after..

I'm in the inland NW, Miss Rosie. Good to know we are geographic neighbors:) I suspect climate change is affecting pollinators. My gardens also did not produce.

I came across this recipe a few years back, when I very first decided to try my hand at making homemade greens. This is SUCH a delicious and simple recipe!!! I've made them several times since then, and this year my parents asked me to make some for the green component of our New Year's Day meal. I realized I've never said thank you for what has become a bit of a family staple on holidays! My Dad has to watch his sodium intake, but maaaaan does he appreciate getting to enjoy these once or twice a year, and he's said that they may be the best collards he's ever eaten! Very much appreciate the simple to follow instructions and video. 🥬🥬🥬💖

I have a cast iron Dutch oven from my grandmother. I’m going to make this tonight and add greens. I would get out my slow cooker but I think my Dutch oven in my oven would be good too. Thank you 😊

Cousin Rosie, Merry Christ-mas! Your recipe’s have never let me down and I want to take a shot at this one☺️. BC I need more oven space, could I possibly make this in my slow cooker instead following this recipe and expect the same results? What would be your recommendation for the crockpot setting and for how long? Thank you😘
