Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you feel like your part exchange valuation for your old house was fair ?

I think we probably lost about £5k give or take. The house was independently valued by two estate agents and then their valuation was passed onto persimmon. Personally i think we could have gotten a tiny bit more selling private but the ease of part exchange and saving on estate agent fees made it worth it for us. Hope this helps!

@larnarussell Yes I agree it would take some of the pressure away. £5K isn't that much on the house sale scale. You can easily lose that trying to outbid another buyer on a normal process of buying. Thanks 😊

another positive for us that made it worth it was persimmon weren’t in a chain as ‘buyers’ so everything was more of a sure thing x

Useful video - a member of our family is looking at a 2 year old Persimmon starter home. A tip on keeping the heat out in the summer. Good insulation should definitely help to keep the heat out during the day, but holds it in overnight. So in a heat wave it's best to close the windows and blinds from mid morning, especially on the sunny side of the house, then open the windows wide early evening and overnight

there is a playground called ‘natures playground’ and if you go towards the back of the playground kind of round the building there’s lots of water play 😊 there’s a giant cloud that can ‘make rain’ and lots of little water dams and little ponds. that’s okay, hope you enjoy the eden project!

I often look at the fish in sauce, I think i might give it a go just to try something different. I think the fruit looks really good especially the mango and blueberries 😊 I think you did well x

ahh yes go for it! it's really nice! the one in a parsley sauce is nice too (but has a lot of green bits in that Daisy doesn't like the look of!) Yummy with mash potato. Thank you, I'm really loving the Waitrose fruit! x

Thank you for sharing about this. That would be a really good deal if gotten where I am currently living. I don’t tend to add fresh fruit or veg to our grocery delivery orders because I am almost always disappointed by the condition and quality of the food. What you got looks really nice, though. I would be interested in seeing what you suggested regarding a comparison shop video (between this and your other local shops) and how you feel about the value of this service long term. I am a vegan so I completely understand. I am thinking of starting my own YT channel when we move to Italy in the spring (from the United States). Perhaps it would be interesting to do some grocery haul videos from there. I wonder if people would be interested in that. Thanks for sharing what you are finding for your lovely family.
