How would you wash this vest? Do you have to take the USB cord attachments that you use to plug in the battery out of the jacket or can they withstand water?

I only hunt whitetail. I will only shoot mechanical’s from now on. I have given fixed blade single and double bevel plenty of chances. Doesn’t work for me. I don’t have the time to sharpen or tune fixed broadheads. That is just me. Accuracy is most important to me. Putting wings on the front of my arrow affects my accuracy to a level I can’t accept. I have lost a few deer because of mechanical failure but the percentage is pretty low. Definitely not high enough failure rate to put up with tuning and sharpening aggravation imo…

Insightful comments, but not much of an apples to apples comparison, given that GrizzlyStik has narrower double bevel broad heads weighing 125 grains in their lineup with substantially better mechanical advantage that were conveniently not mentioned. This review ignores the 125 grain samurai (single bevel), 125 grain Massai (single bevel), and 125 grain silver flame (double bevel) broadheads in GrizzlyStik's overkill lineup, which all have more favorable mechanical advantages than the silver flame XL shown. The penetration comparison is not a brand to brand evaluation so much as broadhead shape comparison. It's not hard to find pictures of magnus stinger blades bent sideways from hitting a whitetail numerous online. Conversely, the grizzlystik Massai and sliver flame (not the XL or the XXL) models have been proven on a 2021 Ashby study to perform better on cape buffalo than more expensive iron will and bishop broadheads. People who are killing lions, jaguar, elephant, giraffe, hippo, black death, etc. overwhelmingly are choosing broadheads that don't break - when a broadhead has replaceable blades, and a warranty for bendy parts that are stopped by whitetail bones - people who want differently start to notice and buy otherwise. Also, GrizzlyStik does offer warranty without receipt if you buy it from them directly. Neither of these broadheads are solid, one piece broadheads. If you gave it an apples to apples comparison, the GrizzlyStik silver flame (not the XL that you reviewed or the XXL) outperforms the more economical stinger from the get go based on Dr. Ed Ashby's highest rated penetration factor: structural integrity. www.ashbybowhunting.org/supplemental-reports

I'm a huge Magnus shooter. I've tested about 20 different broadheads. I will NEVER go back to mechanical!!!! I love Magnus - Stinger or Black Hornet - it does not matter - both are awesome! They are the best of the best and, Mike at Magnus is awesome to work with .... great company, best price and the warranty is out of this world, and these things shoot/tune with ease! Oh and they harvest animals - no question!!! If Magnus happens to change or I need to go in another direction, bring on the Annihilator Broadheads --- these things rock as well!

Appreciate the time and video. I'm a huge fan of the Magnus Stinger as well. I spin test all my own and have had the need to realign the blades on quite a few of them. Not really a big deal but you should spin them to check. Not having a positive blade locking system that automatically aligns the blade (like that of a slick trick for example) is the only fault I have with the Magnus. Once you have them lined up and spinning true, they are outstanding fliers from 160 FPS on my traditional bow to 320 FPS on my cross bow. When you consider their flight accuracy, durability and the warranty they are surely a very solid performer and that is why I shoot them exclusively now. As far as blood trails go, I have shot a bunch of deer with all sorts of heads. IMO how and where you hit them has more to do with the blood than the BH itself. I am happy with the blood I get from the Stingers but I won't crap on mechanicals either. I owe a bunch of deer to BH's like the Rage 2+" cut. They have their place and they increase the percentage for more blood spilled on just about any hit.
@MagnusBroadheads
@MagnusBroadheads 2 жыл бұрын
thanks for your comment. we dial in every single broadhead so when you spin it the point of the broadhead is within .003 thousands of a inch. If you get one which doesnot spin something is very wrong and please let us know. Also our stingers are great heads but our stinger buzzcuts perform better and penetrate as well as a stinger but cut alot more. thanks
@johnd7215

@@MagnusBroadheads I have yet to try the stinger buzzcuts but I will at some point. I appreciated your feedback and if I get any more that don't spin true I will let you know. Again, solid product and I appreciate a company that stands behind their stuff like you guys do. Very rare these days.
