Just watched. I was 27 in 1998 when I bought the N64 and this was my first game. So many morning hrs spent on this. My routine was to come in after nightshift, fry a country ham sandwich, eat while watching the previous nights episode of Drew Carry (recorded on VHS), and then play this for a couple of hrs before crashing to bed for the following night. The Battle of Hoth and Gall Spaceport were my 2 favorite levels. My God this was a great game. Then came Rogue Squadron. 53yrs old now and STILL have my 64 and both games although I've not played either in yrs now. Great memories 😀

I don't see how ASCII and Locomotive Co. Ltd. got the rights to model the Nintendo 64 controller. Could this mean that Miyamoto was involved in this game too?

Well I thought the N64DD and this game was so cool! I wish just like the N64DD, That Nintendo later on would make all three consoles NES SNES and N64 into one whole to play all three game cartridge systems that would've been so cool worth it!

I was so unbelievably pumped that I got to pilot a Y-Wing in this game when it came out. It was my favorite rebel spacecraft, I had a high quality toy Y-Wing that I loved too. What a great game, sometimes I would just cruise around before completing objectives just to let my imagination go wild ❤

My Mom got this for me Christmas '98 along with Turok 2 without me even asking for it or anticipating how good this game was going to be.....Getting all 19 Gold in this game is one of the toughest videogame achievements I ever accomplished, I was in 6th grade in 1999 and my best friend and I were racing each other to be the first to 19......I managed to do it while he was at 18 gold/1 silver.....still remember calling him up on the phone to brag and he was immediately like "NOOOOOO!!!!!!!".......we had the same type of rivalry when it came to scoring 10,000 points on Mew in Pokemon Snap, on that occasion he bested me while I was stuck at 9,980......that was a fun rivalry we had in those days

Yoshi's Story is one of those games that is super easy to finish, but brutally difficult if you're going to master it.

I forgot the music changed when you were almost dead, and then started up again when you got your health back. I also forgot that the music is off key at first like the musician is trying to remember where his place is.

This was my first N64 game, i had an old B&W tv, i just fell again the joy of seeing that A-wing shade on the screen for the first time.

Got this for christmas when it came out. I was 8, between this, space station silicon valley, golden eye, turok and banjo kazooie and mario 64 it shaped me into the gamer i am today. I now do game design on the side and this bringing back memories i may base my next game on the aesthetic of yoshi story art style with a final fantasy turn based tactical gameplay.
