Nice lecture; I like the model train layout. Thank you 😊 The other disadvantage of a canal is that canals are expensive to maintain. Also, as traffic increased on the Erie Canal and the Erie Canal was upgraded/enlarged/improved (1835--1862) the Erie Canal boats were too big to go on the Chenango Canal (unloading/reloading adds to the expense of shipping) Anyhow, by mid-1800's many canals were being made redundant by railroads. [Chenango Canal (1834--1878), Erie Railroad between Binghamton and Jersey City, NJ (1849), Soon after the D.L.& H. RR arrived]

Too bad people back then couldn't place the highest value I'm just being good people. The highest mark of wealth would have been to be humble and minimalistic.

Unfortunately we saw more of you than the house and what little we saw of the house, the camera was too close up to see much.

No offense, but you kept the camera on yourself 75% of the time, and the remaining 25% you were so zoomed in that I still couldn't see what the place looked like. Due to terrible camera work, this video is a complete fail.

It is the right time to reveal these truths. Jordan has the greatest scientific treasure of this century. This discovery can stop a lot of pain and suffering. There are 8,500 years old geoglyphs in the Black Desert. Bedouin call these strange circles the works of the elders. They really represent embryos in different stages of development. They can only be seen from satellites, drones and planes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJrOh5mKl71lg9E It contains the official documentation with the Jordanian authorities about this scientific and archaeological discovery. Activate the English subtitles.

Robe r son is how I've been pronouncing it. I think I learned that from my mother. But she mispronounced Beethoven St, so there's that. Her family couldn't agree on how to spell their last name. 5 brothers 2 spelled Donohue and 3 spelled Donahue. My uncle and I spent a couple years working that one out.

Alonzo Roberson's lawyer met with the Board of Directors of the Broome Co Hist Soc.several decaces ago. He told the story that Alonzo said that his name was pronounced like the bird that lays blue eggs: Robin, thus Rob-erson. When I related this story to the Director of Roberson, he allowed that Alonzo Roberson's Rob was like the bird, but the museum was a Robe. I wonder what Alonzo would say.

I've always wondered what the pocket doors looked like, but I never wanted to close them as I wasn't sure if that was allowed! The architecture and the woodwork are just stunning! I've been there three times and every time I find something new to see.
