@THLEamon it's super basic! But it's works fine for me. It is grand indeed. I need a fridge of sorts and probably a powerbank and I'll be set for longer trips 🤗

@@adventurewitheileen we use delta max 2 from Eco flow. keeps our fridge working great we can usually go for about 4 days before needed to set out the solar panels to recharge and if the sun isn't play fair. charge the unit from the engine.

@THLEamon that's a battery is it? Ya I see so many options on the market and I dunno what to try. My set up will only be short term. So I don't know weather to get a small cheap thing to get me going or to get something more substantial that will do in a van set up in the future. I wanna do long trips eventually! Like pan American maby!

Check out park 4 night app. Make sure you read the comments section for the best spots. Unfortunately a lot of the park ups are frequented by young gobshites making a racket. Avoid places with easy access and the more off grid, the better. Look for spots where it’s not big enough to do donuts. The one you found looked on the money. I find the bumpier the access road, the quieter it is overnight. I’ve been camping a long time including car camping and the only time I’ve ever had hassle was in built up areas on weekends and when I say hassle, I mean donuts and just general noise. Never had anyone come near the car or the van. Or the tent for that matter. I now rarely park anywhere too big or too public and the more remote the better. The only issue is internet signal but that doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

Just found your channel. I did 6 years in the back of my rav 4 before recently buying a sprinter. Still have the Rav for the proper off road stuff but really loving the van. Double bed and normal duvet with the diesel heater rocking. Absolute game changer. In saying that, I found the best thing for the car is them little hand warmers you get in Halfords and decathlon and a good sleeping bag. Oh and get yourself one of them 12v wet/dry vacs for the windows. Woodies had them recently for €20. Hope to see you out in the road 👍

@NoelG-IRE hello Noel! First, thank you for watching the video! Wow, how far have you gone in the sprinter? Yes I have the handwarmers, I use them for camping. That was a particularly cold night. But I don't usually be that cold! Yes, I heard of the wet vacs. I didn't think they were available in Ireland. Very silly of me to think that. I'll defo pick one up cos the car is always foggy on a cold day. I can't wait to get a van! Will be getting one in 2025.

@ ive done a few places in Wexford and up around Carlingford so far. Be heading west in Jan to do a bit of Kerry and I may fit in some of cork. I’ve pretty much done the whole country in the Rav at this stage but it’s like a completely new experience in the van. So much more relaxing if I’m honest. Having a proper sink, toilet and the ability to cook a proper meal coupled with a diesel heater. It’s literally like having a tiny apartment on wheels. I still love my camping and there will be more Rav adventures next year, but at the moment I’m just loving life in the van and can’t wait to go on some long adventures next year. In the meantime, look forward to your next update and wishing you and yours a happy Christmas

@NoelG-IRE wow! And yes totally get you with the Van life 🤗 but I feel, you should go regardless and have fun. Exactly like you did with the rav. Getting out and about is the most important thing! I sometimes head off for the day on my horse and a lunch bag 🤣
