I put the Castle 2200KV motor with Cobra 8 ESC in my Typhon, what gearing would you recommend for a 100 mph range? And is it achievable ln 4S? I run 6S as well but if I could achieve it on 4S that would be great too. Currently I only have the EXB 50T center with a 24T pinion.

You will need tonswap over to a spool. 34t spur, prob a 30t pinion woukd do it on 4s.

8s on a kv that high i would use a xlx2 to be safe. Always better to go larger.

That’s only on 8s! I’ve seen videos of people running their limitless on 12s! And thats what I’m planning on doing when I get that car! Also I’m going to put a 13T pinion gear in it

They are nice radios and has a lot of programming ability. BUT make sure you check each receiver before you send it. I’ve had it lose signal close and far. I think they have fixed the new radios tho. But I like it a lot and use it with my Bashers

Throw a 3s or 4s lipo in, definitley no need for a range extender. My RC6GS has gone 2200ft one way with a 4s lipo. 🎆Happy New Year! 🎆

I use the radiolink RC7x no booster 1500ft away and the signal meter on the remote is still a full antenna tree. Does the RC8x have the meter on the display? Also the Radiolink single wire receiver Only gets a 1000ft Must use the 2 two wire receivers for the speedruns Happy New Year!!

My RC glider goes that fast in a dive. That's why flying is so much MORE fun than ANY car ! A car is only 2 dimensional, a plane or chopper, is 3. I would get bored with that, after about the 3rd pass😢😢

Not bad, that’s a great run on 6s. I think my 6s best is like 130mph, but my 4s best is 155mph. That’s a dual motor car though. Appreciate everything you do for the hobby brother and Merry Christmas

Old video but cool nonetheless. Typhon 6S TLR owner here that's just installed and calibrated the Castle Creations 1515 2200KV w/Cobra 8 ESC. Haven't been able to test run due to bad weather here in the good ol state of WV but it seems pretty spry on a stand. May I ask what gearing you are using? I hear 43T/28T would give me good speed out of the Typhon 6S.

Yeah great combo. I used a xlx2 which has better amp handling, that being said this was 34/34 if I remember correctly. The 139mph pass was 36p/34 spur. So i wouldn't go anywhere near that but 28/43 should be quick still if not gear up. I was using a spool also.
