Used to love it when I heard guys whistling, or even singing, while they were working, or even walking down the street. Not a huge fan of the wolf whistle, though.

I often wondered why wardrobe elected to have Reed clothed in a jacket and tie (save for the black leather gloves), unlike his fellow leather-clad Ton-Up Boys? His style seems to border on 'Mod'; however, in doing so, Reed seems to have foreshadowed Ringo Starr's answer to being neither a Mod or Rocker a year later in A Hard Days Night: "A mocker." Iconoclastic!

The actor really captures the essence of Mellors… the vulnerability that can make him either bitter and withdrawn, or open and passionate.

Mrs. Gale's scripts written for male character, Macnee credited Rigg with rewriting their scripts & producers encouraged them to improvise on-set so MUCH different relationship resulted + Cathy was always having to fend Steed off. It was Tara they wrote as trainee crushing on Steed, thereby weakening her character until eventually they smartened up but it was already too late.

She looked so shocked when she heard she had won. Hotel du Lac is her best - very funny, unlike her later books which became more and more melancholy.

I watched this film last night, recorded from Talking Pictures TV, and the opening sequence gives no indication of the direction the story goes in. Its of its' time, dark and, spoiler alert, don't expect a happy ending. Recommended viewing.

Personally I found this film rather rude. Joelly Richardson and Sean Bean seem to be "at it" constantly, running around naked all the time its disgusting.I've watched the entire film15x now just to be sure of my opinion. I will watch it again but dont think i'm going to change my mind.

She was the First Avenger Woman who blazed a trail for the Rest, a true icon who not only was a role model in the Early 60's but also did her own fights without a stuntwoman to do it!,love Mrs Peel,Tara King and Purdey,But Steed and Mrs Gale to me was the Dream Team, its a shame most people only Think The Avengers started with Mrs Peel, but Without Mrs Gale and Dr Keel The Avengers wouldnt have existed!,Honor Blackman was a fantastic Actress and a great fighter Mrs Gale was the Best!

She tended to write the same book over and over again … 24 X actually. I should know. I’ve read almost all of them, usually more than once. And why wouldn’t U ? Her sentences are exquisite : Poetry as Prose. Nothing much ever happens in a Brookner novel . But U read her for all that deep and interesting psychoanalysis and that poetic prose.

one of the greatest sorrows of my life is not to have met Brian Sewell. In every level, the world is impoverished by the absence of his ilk. his successors have tried their damn best to rid themselves of them. the courtauld is a husk. emptied of life. it is my personal tragedy to have missed even the dying smoke of that great fire.
