So, do you think it’s worth setting the film iso in camera to maybe 400, or do you think you can still set it at 800 and stopping down a couple of f-stops should do the trick?

How did it look like a time-lapse? Is it adjustment layer? Excited to try this out on my next edit 👍

Colors bending, noise, missed focus and bad grade. So R isn’t worth it
@MGraslund7 ай бұрын
It is different sensitivity depending on the light source. Under tungsten lighting it is 800, under ambient light it’s about 200. That’s what I been told anyhow. Keep it up!

Hey David. I just saw that you have discontinued posting videos 1 year ago but I just want to mention that this is by far the best and most important color grading video I have ever seen for premiere pro. and I am not kidding. everyone teaches color correction and stuff but no one actually teaches the real stuff that make or breaks the grading. I wish you had continued posting videos. Your work will be seen and remembered by hundreds and thousands of people. in future if you ever feel like starting to post again.. even if there is a slightest 1% chance, I wish you Best of Luck.

Very cool video man … I’m going to a camera fair on Sunday and I’m hoping to get my first medium format camera and yes it’s hopefully going to be the MAMIYA 645. I’m struggling between the RB67 as well! Keep shooting Davids Great stuff Tom.☠️♠️⚓️.

That banding on the sky. Is it due to the footage recorded with an 8 Bit cam?

The problem with the original battery is that it contained mercury. Mercury is toxic. Millions of mercury batteries in landfills created environmental problems. Note that a 35mm negative is much smaller than a 120 negative. So, 120 allows a photographer to enlarge a print with more detail.

Subscribed and following you on IG! I always only shot MF, I'm halfway my 1st roll of 35mm in my Yashica 35gsn and I'm so afraid of the quality being bad that I'm watching videos like yours to remove a bit of fear.... XD

Just happened on your stream. I got a pristine GS model in 1998 after my father past. It was in a full Yashica camera case and came with the telephoto and wideangle conversion lenses with case. Being very involved in photography for since 1970, I asked my camera repair guys if it was worth keeping as I did not know anything about the camera being an Olympus SLR shooter. The repair guy said the lens was very sharp and it was definitely worth keeping. I got the door seals replaced and still shoot it to this day although I only load the camera with Tri-X, my favorite b&w film. Right now I shoot it without batteries as I try and relearn some old skills of judging light and adjusting the aperture to fit the default 1/500 sec shutter. Haven't sent the film to my lab yet (I sold my Nikon film scanner) so I don't know how I am doing yet.
@ismiv235 ай бұрын
Did you developed your film? What aperture worked for you without the batteries?
@sk8crtn2 ай бұрын
@@ismiv23depends on your film iso. If the default ss is 500/ use a light meter app and set the ss value to 500. It’ll tell you what to shoot at aperture wise based on your iso and locked ss.

I dug out my Yashica 35 today after a couples years of not using it and wanted to see what others were getting from it. Low and behold the first video that comes on is this and its shot in the hague, the very town I boguht it in. Uncanny. Another tip fr the battery is to use tinfoil formed into a cylindar under the A544 cell!

not sure if someone has already mentioned it and i dont want to read through a bunch of comments; but if you use the second focusing ring, the one that looks like it has diamonds, it could help you find the focus on subjects without lines like you mentioned. if the subject looks like it has diamonds then it is out of focus. once you adjust the focus and the diamonds have disappeared, then youre on point! whats your IG?
