What size hook did you use for the chain boarder you use?

Sorry, I don't remember. You should use whatever size hook is appropriate for the yarn you are using.

Is this the same as the broken stockinette stitch?
@iknitwithcatfur2 ай бұрын
Hi! I am not familiar with a stitch called broken stockinette. If it is worked the same way as shown here for twisted stockinette, then it is the same. There are no set names for stitches. The same stitch can be called different names by different people. If you compare a few stitch dictionaries, you're likely to find that the same stitches are named something different in every book. Makes it hard to track down instructions for the stitch you're looking for. :-)

@@iknitwithcatfur Gosh thanks for replying and for that information! I hope it’s the same because your tutorial is very clear, well demonstrated and easy to follow.

Great directions and well explained, but my next row was very loose!
@iknitwithcatfur3 ай бұрын
Yes, that next row is quite loose. If you work the stitches through the back loops, it helps tighten them up a bit.

Here is a video showing how to knit front and back loops, to k,k1b,k into the same stitch you would just knit into the front one more time before dropping from the left needle. Hope that helps. kzbin.info/www/bejne/poKolqywnr5jhJo

Thank you for this 🙏 This is the best double-crochet bind off (Chinese Waitress) I have found anywhere! I’d love to see how you cast on with it :)
@iknitwithcatfur4 ай бұрын
Hi! The only video I have seen of the Chinese Waitress bind off using a crochet hook is done differently, the stitches are worked as if to purl and there is a yarn over between the stitches. That is different from what is done in this video. I'm sorry, I don't know of a matching cast on for this double crochet bind off. I do know this crochet cast on kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIrVeKiOg8unaLc
