I’m thinking side panels to enlarge the sizing. What do you think ? Of course down the arm pits till the the rest of the length. It this doable in your opinion?

I want to learn how to do this so badly! I have had an LK100 for two years and have barely touched it. But I found a group of older ladies to teach me- next Friday! Yay!

Good to see a post from you!! Been missing your beautiful knitted creations💗💗💗 If i may suggest....I try to have small items for purchase at the market. Like $10-20 items. That way people who really can't afford a bigger piece feel good about buying and supporting you. Idk, maybe small knitted pouches, cat toys, etc. using scraps. Again, this is just a suggestion.🙂

your cuffs look really stretchy!! I have this same exact machine and wanted to follow that same pattern before seeing this video, and I'm on the front panel but mine isnt very stretchy, I'm using 100%cotton, what blend are you using? also what is your bust measurement?? that fit looks perfect but when I did my first attempt, it looked so huge.
@lilyfoubisou
@lilyfoubisou 21 күн бұрын
I actually ended up making the sweater quite a bit smaller from the original pattern!!! so I decreased the width in stitches & length in rows by a lot but can't remember exactly how much :/ Also this yarn is wool & silk blend, cotton isn't usually super stretchy!!

9:26 yes! i agree!😃 *only* make stuff that you like and whoever *likes it too* can buy it! also, so *happy* to see a vlog from you ofc!🎉 9:34 your tattoos are so cool and like diff! 19:07 10 tops in 2 days. the yarn wizard strikes again!😂 and that’s on what? comma!😂😂ok i need to shut up. hahahahaha. 27:39 i know you *literally* didn’t ask but apparently it’s like 75% my whole personality trait to give ppl video ideas. i *feel like* it would be such a fun video if you made a (week in my life as a knitwear designer) video. i know that’s *a lot* to edit but it would be *easier* to film because you could just pick up the camera and vlog whatever happens during the week like not just making stuff. basically your life.😂 you’ve done vlogs like that before but this would be a whole *week* instead. less restrictive than a *day* in the life vlog. - jamie p.s. didn’t realize this was gonna turn into another essay comment.😂

Also bamboo, cotton, and other plant fibers are also vegan. I agree that acrylic fiber marketed as vegan is greenwashing. I prefer natural fibers as well. As a vegan myself, I know it’s possible to find natural vegan yarn that has similar properties to wool! However yes they are pricey :( hopefully one day it’s more common!
@lilyfoubisou
@lilyfoubisou 21 күн бұрын
Yes yes yes on everything!!! I love plant fibers. Hopefully one day!!! If you ever want to get into it, buying naked yarn in bulk & hand dyeing it is a great way to save money. My yarn usually comes out to $5 to $8 per skein!!! Not that you asked lol

I guess my left half might fit into the dress :) We need more needle knitting machines for larger size people, who do not like that mandatory mid sew 2 panels thingy. And by larger, I mean anyone larger than a medium size, because I really do not think L size won't come out as a single pannel from these machines.
@lilyfoubisou
@lilyfoubisou 21 күн бұрын
I totally agree. You can buy a flat bed knitting machine with 130-200 needles which can create MUCH larger panels - I got mine on FB marketplace for $150!! Sadly sentro's can only knit so many stitches :/

In this case the negative ease worked to your advantage - negative ease is when you make a garment smaller than your body measurement and it stretches itself out to fit you. Making increases and decreases is pretty easy if you have a two, or a three pronged transfer tool. To increase pick up the last 2-3 stitches of on to the tool and transfer them one needle over towards the edge, leaving a single needle free then lift the bump of one of the neighbouring stitches onto that free needle. To decrease you pick up the 2-3 stitches and move them inwards instead. This way is easier to sew up than transferring the very edge stitch as you get a nice smooth edge for seaming. The technique is often called fully fashioned increasing and decreasing, if your machine doesn't have a manual you may be able to download one online.
