Buffalo Bill wipe out Buffalo population and now that cattle ranchers want to whip out Yellowstone Bison 🦬 That's so real BULL💩💩!! 😤 The importance of Yellowstone Bison is undervalued and not acknowledged. Wolves and Elk biggest threat to cattle NOT the Bison.

A friend and I traveled to Colorado in 1974 or 75 in late September. At one point we passed through Independence Pass on the way to Aspen. I remember seeing a mountainside with fall tree colors shimmering beautifully. We were amazed, having never seen anything like that before but at the time I don't think we realized that we were looking at quaking aspens. I have looked frequently but haven't found a video that resembles that memory of mine of how the mountainside looked that day. This video captures the shimmering in a few trees well. Imagine seeing that across a mountainside in the near distance!

What does "removed from population" mean?
@suki7573 ай бұрын
It means bears that will boldly go into a campsite aka “nuisance bear” because people are stupid and leave their food/garbage laying around. Then the poor bear has to be relocated way out into the woods where there are no/fewer humans.

One of my most lasting Yellowstone Park memories was hearing wolves howling at night during a backpack 0:08 0:08 trip in the Thoroughfare area over 20 years ago. Thank you for sharing this interesting program about an important aspect of wolf research. One of my most chilling Yellowstone experiences was encountering hunters blasting wolf howls from a loud speaker just outside the park boundary in an apparent effort to lure wolves across the line so that they could be shot. When I reported this to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, I was told that this was a legal tactic.

The inclusion of the 0:08 insertions was accidental and a consequence of poor typing technique on my mobile phone.

Impressive!! 👏 . . I've tried making raven sounds and fail miserably, lol! Now that I know it can be done, with practice, I'll be trippin out the ravens at my house by next year. 😜

I love Yellowstone National Park! What's not to like at YNP! I've visited many times. I do disapprove of people who walk up to wildlife and disrupt their lives. The animals pay for what people have done to them. People must be banned from all national parks and be fined for disturbing the wildlife.

I absolutely love YNP. It's my happy place. I've been fortunate to visit it many times. I only wish that all people would respect the land and wildlife, unlike the tourons that seem to feel the rules don't apply to them. Please give all wildlife a break by driving the speed limit and admiring them from afar.

Sleeping at Norris campground in mid Sept., cold and clear. Waking every few minutes and hearing the Geysers over in the geyser basin ; listening to the coyotes yipping at each other and the owls hooting at each other. Then 2 bull elk began their bugling at each other, close by, so, loud. I crawled out of my mummy bag and quietly sat on the picnic table. I couldn't see them but I could hear them. Shortly, the sound of rattling antlers filled the silence and somewhere in the campground, I heard another insomniac mutter softly "wow".Being 20 degrees out I slipped back into my sleeping bag and listened till dawn. This was the Best Worst night of sleep I have ever had!
