Brunel desperately needs a goods shed, or at least a goods platform, for the benefit of the town's commerce. On my layout, the foundry's LNER Y4 0-4-0T shunter (a 1960's/1970's Welso Brimtoy clockwork Y4 body on a Lima American Porter 0-4-0T chassis) has been returned from the workshops following repairs to the brakes & throttle controls (the 40 year old Hornby Zero One DCC loco module had internally locked itself into inertia mode 4 = big, heavy loco and so was replaced). This pleases the foundry's owners, as they've been having to lease a British Railways 0-4-0 diesel shunter & driver, whilst the Y4 was away.

Time for some Peco Track Rubber action!! Traction tyres are the numero uno culprit for creating a layer of muck on rails. Or, if you had an old Jouef / Playcraft 708 tank loco, with the sausage motor and brass wheels, you could run that over the track a few times because the brass wheels act like magnets for track dirt & oxidation. My first electric loco was one of these and it was soon discovered that running it around a layout moved track dirt onto its wheels, which were easier to clean off. @@derekhyland7556 I'm sure you can. Even I could have made it in a couple of days giving time for paint and glue to dry, but, besides having to work for my living, doing a rushed job wouldn't have been any use as a tutorial.

The ramp could be used not only by the disabled people, for example I can imagine the little baby Mariangela F. in a stroller, being pushed by her proud father... and voila! I like the ramp even more! Nice evening, Patrick, cheers!

@@Cristake1974 I'm having a horrifying image of the stroller rolling out of control either in front of a bus or, even worse, in front of a train....a bit like the one bouncing down the steps in La Corazzata Kotiomkin in the very first Fantozzi.

@@patricksmodels Seeing that scene in the first Fantozzi - and today, as well, I wonder if that was a kind of tribute to the original stroller scene in Eisenstein's "Battleship Potemkin". I guess it was, and it perhaps was even mr. Villaggio's idea, as he was the main author of the Fantozzi series.
