I’ve got about 3000 miles on my Pan Am but recently I went on a road trip in Alaska and rented a GS and rode it for about 700 miles. Honestly, the bikes are pretty interchangeable. I came away from the ride thinking that I wouldn’t trade my Harley for that GS.

Interesting 🤔👍... Ive not ridden a G.S so cant compare, although know a few who own them.. who doesnt 😃... I think with the Pan. You learn to love it. Was prepping mine for upcoming roadtrip, and thinking.. I cant think of a better bike..Cheers. hope you and your Pan continue to enjoy trouble free miles 👌

@@ALCHEMOTO I wanted to ride a GS strictly so that I could compare the two bikes. Personally, i think the GS is a little more comfortable - especially on my butt - that could be an easy fix with a new seat on the Harley. Where the Harley shined though was in power - the GS just didnt have the same "punch" that the Harley does. My Pan Am is a '23 so I've had no issues with it.

Hi Al, I have just purchased a similar unit without cameras. Loving my unit apart from one aspect. I set my Google maps to night mode in android auto , however every tine i restart the bike/head unit i defaults back to google maps day mode.. Wondered if you could try yours and let me know if the same or if you manage to keep it in night mode ? cheers in advance J

Hi.... because the units work independant, its not mirroring completely to your phone. Some units have auto dimming and some dont. So its down to manufacturer and what features each unit has. Sometimes in the settings you may find auto dimming turned off. Check on the model website first. 👍

You clearly don't know how decibels work, 100db is 10 times louder than 90db so it isn't just a little louder 😅 if it's that loud it deserves a ticket, if you were in Germany they'd have seized the bike, destroyed the exhaust and fined 1000 euros. You can get your bike back when you fit a legal exhaust. 100db is also dangerous to your hearing so they've done you a favour if the exhaust gets changed. I mean on a harley it's bad losing maybe 2hp 😂 not many left 😅😂

Hi Martin . Done the elan vally lots . It’s beautiful . The dirt track you past that you said you didn’t know where it goes well we took that track by mistake ! 😂 and there is nothing at the top except for an abandon old shack . We had to turn around and come back down . A bit shakey on the way down as it’s very high up and un even 😮.

@@ALCHEMOTO yeah there’s also a gate at the top too but it’s closed off . Not sure if any dirt bikes have attempted going through but one hell of a steep incline . It’s certainly a place of going back to. Did you pass the carvings in the tree stumps on route ?

Awesome train, Beautiful. The cafe looked interesting too. So happy his ok and ONLY a broken toe. I know what that feels like Ouch!!!. My Harley is sick at the moment and going to the bike Hospital on Friday 😞. Take care.

Broken toe and a little riding confidence knocked but I'm fine :) and the bike is fully repaired in 4hours. More gutted I can't ride for 5-6weeks.
