Hey Aaron I just want to say thank you for all the Luther Perkins videos I've learned from when you first started the videos in 2020 me and my grandpa just recently modified an amplifier we put in a circuit board for slapback echo it's a two knob amplifier volume and echo we used a monoprice 5w tube amp and we also changed the transformer and speaker the transformer was swapped for a 12w and the speaker is a celestion bassbreaker and the tubes were swapped for RCA 12AU7 for the preamp and a Silvertone 6V6GT for the power tube The amp sounds great though now and the 12v thing is in the back of the amp

Love what you do, how about a video showing how Bob Wootton played behind Cash a few years along when he started "bouncing" that cadence more than Luther "Man In Black" perfect example

I'll be looking forward to the new videos, nice hollowbody too! I did have a question for you, would you think a squire classic vibe Esquire would be any good? They discontinued them, so they are more expensive than they used to be, but still a lot less than a fender. I have a tele, but I'd love to have something like the real thing Luther played.

FYI, they just released a Fiesta Red 60s Esquire and a 50s Butterscotch Esquire (a lot like the one used on the first Sun Records) on a site called "Chicago Music Exchange." I have an older 60s Sunburst Squier that I have been slowly upgrading, but out of the box, those should get you going really easily (with flatwounds for the best chances of course).

@lutherperkinsesquireАй бұрын
Blues junior should be good enough, you can achieve the sound on almost any amp as long as you dial it in.
