I'll take this opportunity to ask you another question because I have to decide quickly if I do the uprage: the only thing that really bothers me is having to re-assign the midi port to my keyboard each time and/or to my master keyboard according to my needs. so I'm considering the following solution: copy all of my tracks which make up my orchestra into another "divisimate 2" folder (I'm on Cubase) in order to have a folder with all of my tracks assigned to the port midi from divisimate and another folder with my tracks assigned to my keyboard. A priori, since they are exactly the same instruments, the RAM requested should not double... what do you say? THANKS

@@studio_musique_audionomie For this kind of workflow I'd just recommend using Divisimate in Bypass (the standalone is more convenient for this than the plugin). That's the whole idea of the bypass function to pass inputs through unaltered to all routed tracks. Whether RAM is shared or not depends a lot on the instruments, sample engine and sometimes OS, so it's not possible to say this with certainty in either direction.

Not an automated version, but you can create a new performance and drag and drop your favorite presets onto the slots from the finder/explorer. That would be the quickest way to populate the perform page with only a selection of presets.

Divisimate Micro is a different tool that is not elevated as much by dedicated templates like this. We have one project file available for a SWAM Big Band as a companion to a video breakdown: divisimate.com/guides/divisimate-micro/big-band-micro But this kind of template, and especially a set of presets like this is only available for Divisimate 2.

This template is only for the full version of Divisimate 2. Micro doesn't have enough ports for example.

We'll release a dedicated version (mostly because Prime doesn't have a Marimba), but you can just set your Prime instruments to Staccato and use this performance with it too, the main instrument mapping is the same.

@Nextmidi oh wow! Lovely! . One last thing, PLEASE... could the prime version also have a MIR 3D reverb or Cubase reverb setup? It seems like the reverb you guys used for Divisimate 1 isn't being used anymore, and to my ear, it sounds like all of the instruments are in the same location for Prine & SWAM. <3

@@sekritskworl-sekrit_studios SWAM updates using the built-in new Ambiente are coming next year! However the Synchron Series was recorded in situ - there is no need to simulate seating, as it is already all recorded in the right position and the natural room sound of the synchron stage is captured. You can still add reverb to taste on the sum or a bus, but it's not needed for a solid result in our opinion. So therefore we will not complicate the setup of the templates we ship and just allow folks to add their reverb on the sum as they see fit.

@Nextmidi thank you so very much for the informational updates. I'll invest in Ambiente at tge end of the month, and I suppose that my MIR license well get cobwebs, as I can't find a single template for an orchestra for them. LOL Oh well, I'm living and learning. Thank you again.

@@sekritskworl-sekrit_studios Ambiente is built into SWAM, so for our template you won't need a dedicated license on top of it. But Ambiente has plenty of use outside of SWAM and will be useful to match other instruments.

@@Nextmidi Great! because i tried to add the violin ensemble from the new strings and can’t get that channel to work no matter what i do.. 26 on the divisimate is active for the 3 notes and plugin is loaded just fine when bypassed. channel is set for 26 any - and still no joy.

This one actually is - in older videos we layered SWAM Solo strings with Spitfire Symphonic Strings, because there were no sections yet. In this video this is just the SWAM String Sections.

The Bome MIDI Translator is an entirely different thing. All our Merger Port does is combine multiple inputs into one. The MIDI Translator seems was designed for a lot more than that, translating between types of data, keystrokes and performing transformation operations. There's not really any point of comparison between the two, except that you can probably do what the Merger Port does with the MIDI Translator. But you can do none of the main things the MIDI Translator does with the Merger Port.

Yes, you can start the Nextmidi Hub directly without Divisimate, where you can activate the Merger Port. The newest installers will move the Nextmidi Hub to the applications folder (previously located in library/application support/nextmidi on Mac) to make this easier.
