I woke up early to get this masterpiece from Toy Arena's booth in Frank and Son before it sold out. I was tired because I didn't get around to reviewing it until after midnight. Thanks for asking. I'll keep your comment in mind if I decide to change this video.

Good video. Im not impressed with this figure. The MPG series so far just feels subpar compared to historic official Masterpiece releases.

To be fair, certain recent masterpieces went down in quality. Takara probably is just cutting off masterpiece with mpg in an attempt to start anew.

@@MrVentus1012 I have almost all of them minus Beast wars and Star Convoy. I have no quality issues. Even my Hound is crack free. Quality didnt go down folks just hate the cartoon asthetic.

Awesome! This has to be the first US review. I love this figure! So glad Takara did not stop with that last remold. Does anyone know how this looks with the Haslab Victory Sabre and Deathsaurus? I also wonder how this will look next to the upcoming Star Optimus.

No, the die cast is only in the front of the cab. I only broke the tab going into the cab leg in combined/super mode.

Nope. The base Ginrai is 7.5", about on par with the likes of the MP Carbots or about ol' skool Voyager class size. Super Ginrai is 11.5". The LG35 Super Ginrai is 8.5" in robot mode and only goes straight to Super Ginrai, without the base form.

"you buy it mostly for the figure". And you're right.. But it cannot stand!.. I was terribly disapointed. One of the worst in the series if you ask me. I have Megatron Authentics and Wheeljack Authentics and they both stand pretty well compared to Shockwave with weak ankles. There should have been tab that locks the feet in place.

Definitely best for stamina battles and for the smaller x beys. I think if you wanted to do any of the UX beys and/or play with many attack types, things will land in the pockets all the time/end quickly! I still think this is a great starter stadium so long as you recognize its limits!
