Nice looking lake. How'd the hike round it go? Also, what time of year was your visit? I know Lost Lake very well (my folks live in nearby Hood River), so that reference, as far as comparative size, was quite helpful - thank you!

Well, TBH I prefer Lost Lake... Suttle Lake is nice but doesn't compare in terms of remote beauty. On the other hand, Suttle is certainly easier to get to. This was in June, but it was unseasonably wet. What this video also didn't mention is me slipping off the cabin porch and breaking my wrist!

Depends on whose story you believe. Most likely abuse as a puppy, especially considering her fears and her scars. Most recently, she had an op to remove an aggressive cancer, and is now going through chemotherapy. She is handling it well - much better than a human would!
