Ngl imo it’s good they changed spore to what it eventually became and what it is today, but I really hope this wasn’t scrapped. I think Spore shines in complexity enough for a 2008 game and the simplicity changes probably were necessary, but now with better technology I think this works great and could also be done with an even greater texture and just graphics in general. I just fear that Spore 2 would be too much… modern EA like, if you know what I mean. But I really hope either this ends up as spore 2 or the current game with some kind of multiplayer options and a little bit of more options too choose from and a few gameplay changes For example I hate the way the cursor chooses certain stuff, especially in creature stage, and in civilization stage the profession of cities can only be chosen if conquered or bought, not with the final „take-everything“ ability The bugs also are a key issue of the game, like the game crashing when dying in creature stage and pressing esc in the wrong second, or your chieftain trying to pick up air for the rest of his life (which is soon to end because I sacrifice him to the epic creature that keeps harassing purple in every safe file)

The biggest bait and switch I've experienced in all the time I've enjoyed playing games. I've gotten over it and largely forgotten about Spore, but I'd be down to play this version of the game any day of the week
