The reason is you are getting more back pressure their for your are creating tighter compression.

03 had the funny steering wheel early 04 has the 3.5 outlet on the back of turbo elbow 04.5 and up 4 inch all the way out also 04 came with the he341 and if you look at build dates on the door you can tell 04.5 are made in 04 and early 04 are made in late 03

I run the 5" downpipe to an 8" axle dump on my work truck. The welder, toolbox, and aux tank definitely muffle it in the cab though. Eventually I'm going to go back out the back but the axle dump keeps the soot off of customer trailers 😁

Be careful with that boot from the turbo to the hotpipe. I bought that same amazon kit and it leaked from day one. Got a replacement factory style boot and haven't had issues since!

Personally I think a ranch hand style bumper on it would look killer. But the OEM plus style always looks great on these trucks. Maybe one day ill actually build the motor in my 04.5.

It is a 6.7 head. But with a 5.9 intake horn, 5.9 Intake plenum, and a 5.9 fuel rail. It’s crazy how much of the stuff is interchangeable on these engines.

I appreciate that man! So mine is kinda both actually. Up front I have a 2.5in leveling coil. And in the rear I actually took out the overload springs and a few blocks. It’s squats just a little and I think that’s perfect! 👍

Not really, honestly I just did some trimming and installed it with some extra strong zip ties. It’s held well, but I kinda wanna take it off and mold it alittle more so it fits more perfectly. But I’ve thought about making a reel about installing it. You think people would be interested?
