I watch every video that I can find of Elvis. I remember the day he died me and my mother and her friend were driving in the car and it came over the radio. I remember as a little girl I used to think one day I was going to grow up in Mary Elvis. I think that was all women's dream. But I was born in 1963 so there's a lot of age difference there. This man had the most amazing voice that I had ever heard from any musician or entertainer in the whole wide world and I truly believe it was god-given. I believe that Elvis was called to be a minister and a gospel singer but the church turned him away because he did not fit their style and that's what made him unique and I think a lot of it was jealousy. It's sad to say but that happens to a lot of musicians that are worshipers in the choir in church. The same pride that calls Lucifer to fall is the same spirit that many musicians get when someone comes along that's better but no one ever came along that was better than Elvis who could sing any song. I once was told that he could sing Opera. What I like most about Elvis that he was humble and the man would give you the shirt off of his back and that's because he comes from the places that I was born. I have family that are in Tennessee which is where he settled and Graceland. I'm from Kentucky and we come from a place where it is yes ma'am, no ma'am. Yes sir, no sir. Thank you and we would get up out of our chair and give it to the elders and we were taught most of all to honor our mothers and our fathers and especially our elders. Elvis was raised in church and singing church and the gift that he had was truly god-given and came straight from the throne of God, but Hollywood got a hold of him and tried to making him something that he wasn't. Even all the money he made he gave it away. That's what I loved about him he didn't take the money and put it in the bank and hoard it up for bigger and better things but he did buy nice things but he also bought nice things for those that he loved and those that he didn't even know. There are things about Elvis that none of us will ever know and we all know that he was human and he had his faults and I was very disappointed when his so-called best friends or bodyguards wrote a book about him and they just put all of his dirty laundry out there like they didn't have any. But they forgot that when Elvis was doing the things they shouldn't have been doing they were right there beside him doing this same thing but yet they judging. Jealousy and pride is the green-eyed monster and even your best friends will turn on you That's if they're your best friends which they're not and he trusted them. Just like Priscilla said that Elvis trusted her with everything his personal thoughts and feelings and what is she do after he dies air's dirty laundry but she didn't tell what she was doing when Elvis was away from home. I have a problem with Miss Priscilla she needs to take her maiden name back because I don't look at her as Elvis Presley's wife I see her as an ex just like all the rest of them she was just many of one of the piece of the pie she just somehow got her claws into him and we know there are women out there that know how to play the game. I know because I'm a woman and I've done some things in my life that I'm not proud of but I never used a man for his money or the things that he had. The theory is that he's still alive but only God knows but if he is I hope he's happy and living his life somewhere on an island or walking down the street being able to buy a hamburger or to do whatever he wanted to do with his life where he couldn't do with all the fame. Elvis would still be here if it wasn't for the colonel and Hollywood, he had to take drugs to keep up with the game plus he have health issues too and back then they don't have the technology to figure things out the way they do now. I listen to everything and I search for things online and I found one song that I never heard and I didn't save it and I wished I would have because my brother is a Elvis fan to the galore and he knows just about everything about Elvis and I started playing trivia games with him and he would say, I already know that. But I found that one song and that's one song he's like, I've never heard it. I was like yay I got you. But that man could take anybody's song and make it better.. Member The Beatles they had a song called hey Jude take a sad song and make it better well that's what Elvis did he made it better. There's one song Elvis never sang and that is the one Dolly Parton wrote that I will always love you. If the colonel had not been so greedy I believe Elvis would have done it not because of greed but because of his giving heart. Sorry it's so long that just wanted to share some things about a man that was loved by so many but like he said, they are in love with an image not me. The only ones that really got to know Elvis were the ones that spend a lot of time around him and he trusted them but they turned on him. After all he has given and done for them.
