hi, i would like to mix pictures with videos in a slideshow. the pictures should have a clip-duration as set within the "slideshow generator window", but the videos should not be cropped to that clip-duration. instead they should keep their original video duration. if you set up an automatic slideshow with the slideshow generator for example with a clip-duration of 4 sec., i can somehow change the duration afterwards of the videoclips, but then the automatic transition/dissovle which the slideshow generator adds gets somehow corrupt and i dont know how to fix it. thanks

The slideshow creator is meant to be a shortcut for like-sized images. If you needed to make specific changes after the fact, your better off dragging all the files to the timeline and edit it traditionally

Hi, I’m trying to export two different versions of my video in Shotcut-one with a Facebook end screen and another with a KZbin end screen. Is there a way to create both versions within the same project without having to re-edit or re-export the entire video twice? I want to make sure each version has the right end screen but keep the core content the same. Any tips or a step-by-step guide would be really helpful!

Put each end screen on a different track. Turn off visibility to one track then export. Do the same to the alternate track

There's 2 versions, the GPU version or the regular CPU. I just use the CPU. Otherwise, your computer just doesn't have enough processing

I uninstalled version 24.9.19 to install 24.1.28.And here I find the slideshow function and tracking The only problem, being French, is that this version is badly translated, but I'm getting the hang of it. For the moment, it's the Motion Tracker function that attracts me. I'm a paraglider and it's great to be able to identify the names of the mountains you fly over in the videos. You can also create a custom mask that replicates that exact set-up/ The next time you want to do that effect, just search custom mask instead of simple mask and there you have it.

Motion tracker is great, but the lack of panning available makes it useless :( I wish it would retain it's tracking capabilities, but when rendering, act like VD's Deshaker (which, as name says, supports random shakes, not object tracking, like in your case) - with configurable, adaptive zoom, using close frames to fill in blanks. I tried the latter, but again, why make something easy, when it can be hard, so you can't make easily these borders transparent, so copying original video and blurring it slightly to use as background won't work. You can make borders #f0f and then chroma key it, but the effects are awful.

prob too late for some help since this was a year ago but i followed exactly what you did but the keyframes refuse to show up, shotcut doesnt freese or anything and the effect didnt apply. what do i do about this?

First, make sure you have the latest version of Shotcut. In my attemps, I had to do it 2 - 3 times sometimes before it went into effect

@@BenEspanto I eventually figured it out, apparently all I had to do is apply the tracking and then save and reload the app. I think maybe the reload is what fixed it but I can't be too certain
