First, I hope they figure this out and it becomes a distant memory. Second, I know it is hard to see the positives, but at least you are young and strong. This makes fixing this much more achievable. Do everything you can to get your health in the best place and see how your body responds. (Hydrate well, eat healthy, avoid caffeine, keep exercising) as long as doctors agree. Technology or not, they are still methods to get exercise. And I think “regular” people would most definitely benefit from exercise. I hear where you are coming from, but an alternative view... If you look at all the stuff I have reviewed with the goal of helping people decide if that is a good option for them or not, all those products would have cost 10s of thousands of dollars. There is no way I can afford that on my own. But if a company reaches out and says, "we will send this to you and you can say whatever you want. Make an honest review." This allows me to make more reviews. Review more products. Maybe make a few bucks so I can purchase some products on my own to review. Obviously, you cannot trust every creator because some will say anything for free stuff. But some, are just trying to make sure this works and help people out with honest reviews.

In terms of how closely a Lumen reading reflects actual CO2 excretion and fat vs. carbohydrate catabolism, it’s helpful to break this down into two parts: 1. Accuracy of Reflecting Actual CO2 Excretion: Since Lumen measures only the CO2 exhaled in your breath (without accounting for oxygen consumption), its readings likely reflect real CO2 excretion with moderate accuracy. While there aren’t many independent studies quantifying this, it’s reasonable to estimate that the device’s ability to capture changes in CO2 production is around 80-90% accurate for this limited measure. This is because exhaled CO2 is relatively easy to measure through breath analysis, though fluctuations from hydration, breathing patterns, or recent meals may affect precision. 2. Accuracy of Reflecting Fat vs. Carbohydrate Catabolism: Since Lumen doesn’t measure oxygen consumption (which is necessary for full RER calculations), its ability to determine whether you’re burning fats or carbohydrates is more of an estimate. Based on available data and company claims, the accuracy of determining fat vs. carb metabolism trends would likely be around 60-70% when compared to the more accurate methods like indirect calorimetry. Factors such as diet, hydration, and individual metabolic variation can affect this accuracy. Summary: • CO2 Excretion Accuracy: Likely 80-90% accurate in reflecting actual CO2 levels in exhaled breath. • Fat vs. Carb Metabolism Accuracy: Likely 60-70% accurate in reflecting whether you’re burning primarily fats or carbohydrates. These percentages represent reasonable estimates based on the limitations of breath-only analysis without the full respiratory exchange data.

Wow! I am very relieved for you and your family! Very sobering video. I probably have around 20 years on you, and I have some insight into what you felt after two hospitalizations and a major surgery this summer (GI tract stuff, not cardiac but was critical at one point). All good now. I also availed myself of top hospitals and physicians. A true story from a friend of mine from many years ago is almost frighteningly (in a good way) similar to what you had said in your video. In fact, my head snapped back. A heart valve (I forget if it was a pig's or artificial) with a 10-year useful life remained much longer and the surgeon in the local hospital of the town where I live near NYC said, "Oh, well, you know, it's really a very difficult job . . ." etc. My friend then went to one of the top surgeons in one of the three top medical centers in Manhattan. That Manhattan surgeon (in part) agreed: Referring to the small town surgeon, the Manhattan surgeon said, "He is correct. It is a very difficult job. For HIM! Not for me!" Another example: my dad (RIP) broke his you-know-what working until he was 75 y/o. He needed a left-reverse total shoulder replacement. Went to a top hospital in Manhattan and had the Chief Physician for the NY Yankees do the surgery. Titanium rod, new socket, etc. all shoved in there and - no exaggeration - not a single visible mark remained on his skin. You would never know he had the surgery and it was the only part of his body after that: (1) worked as it should; and (2) was pain-free. May God continue to bless you and your family! I look forward to more content from you.

I'm one of the guys that bugged you for an update. Thanks so much for this new video. Your description of how you felt with the PVC's/pounding heart, the anxiety, fear of death, being afraid of the future... is 100% right on. I'm at this point right now, and currently wearing a monitor, similar to the one you first wore. I've already done a successful ablation for afib 8 years ago so I'm well aware of how it should go, however I'm now living in a much smaller city and I highly doubt the Dr's have the same expertise. Only someone with heart issues can understand how keyed in you are to your own heart rhythm, I hope and look forward to the day when I've forgotten how it feels. Btw, meds aren't working for me either, but I'm now on anxiety medication so hopefully that will work to quell the fear and anxiety a bit. Thanks again for sharing your journey.

It has been a long time since I made that video so I don't remember it perfectly. I believe my point on creamer was more around taste for those trying to figure out if viewers would enjoy it. Without creamer, I don't love drinking it, but with creamer it is extremely good. Downside is I don't enjoy drinking creamer every day and you have to understand the impact. You are still getting all the healthy ingredients but have introduce a negative ingredient. If you are making healthy decisions the rest of the day and this is the worst thing you do, you are probable just fine. But, depending on your goals, drinking creamer every day is less than ideal and I would not recommend it for most. I have since stopped drinking mud\wtr for the exact reason you mentioned.

I've just taken delivery of a Peloton Plus and am kinda disappointed with the scenic rides. The resistance doesn't automatically adjust and the rides aren't continuous - they show a few seconds and then fade to a different section of road. How hard or fast you pedal makes no difference to the outcome so they feel like you're just watching a KZbin video when on an exercise bike.
