Does this work if I were to plug in the four wires in the wall next to the actual thermostat to the adapter, instead of going all the way to the furnace to connect it?

if i remove the O wire to place it on the W located on the c box. do i then place the C-wire adapter to the main box to W or to the O spot?

The end of the video does not make sense to myself and apparently many others who have commented. It stays to only connect 2 wires of the 4 you started with. Please pin a comment to the top of the comment thread, that has the proper instructions for the last steps of connecting wires.

how do you connect the c adapter if you only have 2 wires in the thermostat? white and red? where the hell do you connect yellow and red to in the c adapter and its wires to where and same with at the thermostat? super confusing. heat only system

Trying to be simplistic only works if everything is as you think it should be. It would be understandable better if you explained the PURPOSE of each wire.

My existing thermostat only has red, blue, and white connected. The yellow and green wires are there, but not connected to the existing thermostat. Should I connect these to my amazon thermostat?

I couldn't get it working with just C and K. I tested C and R and got 24 V so figured that the C-wire adapter gave me four wires out, my thermostat has slots for those four wires, CRWK, may as well connect them all 😀 Everything is working fine now 😀 In hindsight it's a short and easy run, I should've just ran another wire down to forego the C-wire adapter but meh, it's working, this guide at least helped me feel more comfy. Thanks!

How if I don't move the Y wire to the K terminal, and let it stay on Y, will the unit still working properly?

i just opened my box, and tried to set it up, and it simply will not turn on, is there something im doing wrong? or is my light difunctional?

To my dismay, they only work on a 2.4GHz wifi, I wish that would've been obvious in the Dominion website. I have a Spectrum wifi router which auto switches based on distance, I cannot manually select the 2.4GHz band of the router. I ordered these light through Dominion energy thinking it would be nice to have them in the house. Not only did I waste money, I've wasted 4 hours of my life trying to find a work around. Why can't you make these lights to work on either band? I will be contacting the company tomorrow or sending back to Dominion for full refund. Great idea, limited vision on application.

They save money of electrical power but I bought 8 of them for the light fixture in our bathroom two months ago and all but two have burned out. Is there any warranty and I can't find the original sales slip. As far as I'm concerned, they are a ripoff at any price, much less the nearly five bucks I paid for each of them.
