Have you tried to make your own discs? Many of the discs are pretty childish, except for the ones from Miller Engineering, and I would love to make some useful discs for our astronomy club outreach team.

@@BrotherAlan The discs from Miller Engineering are one of the best. I haven't tried to make my own discs yet. Is an interesting idea. Maybe the chrome discs?

Very interesting! How come did you end up with 3 different designs? I just ordered an Extra, and am wondering how to get the smaller discs to fit (I've got a Miller Engineering Northern Hemisphere disc that I'm hoping to fit inside!). Am considering designing an adapter in CAD and then 3D printing. Would appreciate any advice!

@@MrOceanfrog I bought the three different adapters. With the left one with the clamp, you can see a gap in the light when you turn it. With the middle one, the whole disc is projected perfectly. I'm not sure about the right one yet. I made one myself out of plastic. It works perfectly. My Miller discs also fit into the EXTRA with the adapter. If I can help, I'd be happy to. Send me an email. Great idea to print it in 3D. Very interesting.

@@psion1006 i was still looking for a homestar extra at the time and was able to buy one from Japan with the 3 discs and remote, so far i love it but the special adapters for the normal discs are till now unobtainable, but will keep looking. I dont have any extra discs yet and can probably make an adapter for them, till i find an original one. I hope you enjoy yours. :)

My original adapter has one disadvantage. When you turn it, you can see the clamp. That's why I made an adapter myself at home until I can buy one.😃
