I know this is months later, but maybe you will read my comment. I notice you almost never use the rooftop tent, perhaps because it is so high and difficult for you to set up. You might want to consider having it removed, selling it and using the money to have a RV roof vent/fan installed. A good one will exhaust the heat and fumes/smells from cooking while cooling the interior of your van. You might even want to consider two, one front and one rear. With all the rain you seem to go through, a rain cover would be a must. Most importantly, you could have it open without opening the side windows, providing further security while ventilating the car. If you want to keep the rooftop tent, consider having one installed over your sleeping area. do your research first, of course! Hope this idea helps!
